Killer soup is an Indian web series by netflix. It is co-written by Harshad Nalawade, Anant Tripati, Unaiza Merchant and Abhishiek Chaubey, who also directed the web series. Konkona Sen Sharma and Manoj Bajpayee are the lead characters.
Plot
In the fictional town of Mainjur, Tamil Nadu a talentless home chef comes up with a bizarre plan to replace her husband, Prabhakar with her lover and a squint-eyed doppelganger Umesh; with her neighbors and policemen poking their noses at her house, things don’t go as planned.
Star Performances
Once again a spectacular performance was given by Manoj Bajpayee who played a dual role of Prabhakar and Umesh so effortlessly. How he acted and said those English, silly words, and indecisive approach made it more delectable. Konkona Sen plays the role of an aspiring chef Swati, who dreams of starting her restaurant and stands out with her gripping and intriguing performance. The side characters were also perfectly cast. The casting team certainly needs a raise.
Analysis
“Killer Soup” is a mature and dark series and isn’t just a goofy comedy-crime series. The cinematography of the series is so fascinating and highly appreciable. The world-building is on point and it will immerse you in it. The metaphor of soup to build the plot was an absolute genius idea. The central theme of the series is about ethics and morals. There is a lot of chaos with Swati trying to swap Prabhakar with Umesh, while still fulfilling her ambition of starting a restaurant.
I love how they gave us a proper ending instead of a cliffhanger that will keep us wandering all night.

Verdict
Killer Soup is a blend of thrill, dark humor and suspense. If you are interested in good cinematography and enjoy dark humor and the thriller genre, add this to your list without fail.
