Born on 17th January, he comes from a Punjabi family. His father is an Indian Air Force Officer. Due to his father’s post, he often traveled all over, giving him the opportunity to taste and experience the diverse cultures. He has a plethora of home-makers and food lovers as fans. He is best known for transforming, trimming and simplifying complicated recipes and making them more available and abridged for the common men. His Alma matter, The Institute of Hotel Management in New Delhi, opened a wide door to success. He began his cooking venture at a very early age. He has over three decades of experience in working with reputed chefs and organizations. He achieved his culinary training in 1982. He began his television career as a health chef in Mirch Masala on Star Plus.
