1. Ustad Sabri Khan
Ustad Sabri Khan is a famous Sarangi player. He was born on 21 May 1927 in Moradabad. He belongs to Sainia Gharana. He received Sarangi playing lessons from his grandfather Ustad Haji Mohammad Khan and later continued his training with his father Ustad Chhajju Khan. He also learned some important and rare techniques of playing from his uncle Ustad Laddan Khan. At the beginning of his career, he played Sarangi with singers and musicians on All India Radio and also worked as a staff artist there. Khan toured the United States in the early 1960s with renowned sitar player Ravi Shankar and tabla player Alla Rakha.
Apart from this, he visited many countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, China, Japan, the USSR, the United States, Canada, England, France, Germany, the Netherlands...
