3. Pallavi Vinay Joshi

Pallavi Joshi is an Indian model, producer, film and television actress. She started her career as an on stage performer at her early age. She started acting in the big screen as a child actress, appearing in films like Badla and the 1977 Bollywood film, Aadmi Sadak Ka. In 1979, she played as a blind kid in the film, Dada.


From 1980’s to early 90’s, Pallavi acted in various films including the Rukmavati Ki Haveli and Vanchit. She played as Iti opposite Nirvana (played by Nitish Bharadwaj in the 1988 Hindi film, Trishagni. Pallavi made a special appearance in the film, Rihaee in 1988. She also donned the 1992 Hindi film, Suraj Ka Satvan Ghoda under the direction of Shyam Benegal, where she played the role of Lily, the intellectual. The actress also bagged supporting roles as a sister or the friend of the heroine in big budget films like Tehelka, Mujrim, Panaah and Saudagar. Her role as a handicapped in the 1987 film, Andha Yudh gained her the Best Supporting Actress award at the Filmfare. In 1994, she played the role of Apsara in the film, Woh Chokri where she won the Special Jury Award at the National Film Award. Pallavi also received the Excellence in Cinema Award at the 7th Global Film Festival Noida. In the same year, she bagged the main character as Shantha in the 1994 critically acclaimed Malayalam movie, Illayum Mullum by KP Sasi. She is also part of the Indian-South African film, The Making of Mahatma in 1996 under the direction of Shyam Benegal. From year 1999 to 2001, she appeared in many episodes of Zee TV’s Rishtey. She also donned the lead role in the Marathi film, Rita under the direction of Renuka Shahane. Pallavi also worked as a producer. She produced the Marathi series, Asambhav in 2008 and Anubandh, both were aired on Zee Marathi.


Besides acting, she also hosted the reality singing show, Sa Re Ga Ma Marathi L’il which was aired on Zee Marathi in 2008 and Antakshari on Zee TV. Pallavi’s television appearances include Talash, Imtihaan, Justajoo, Bharat Ek Khoj, Mr. Yogi and Aarohan on Doordarshan. She also played as Neelam Sharma in the Indian soap, Justujoo on Zee TV in 2013. This year, she made a comeback in the silver screen as she portrays the role of a potter and the wife of Anupam Kher in the film, Buddha in a Traffic Jam under the direction of Vivek Agnihotri. 

She was married to film director, Vivek Agnihotri and they have two children namely Mallika and Manan. Pallavi is also the sister of actor, Master Alankar Joshi.

Prasad Patki is an Indian director who works mainly in the Hindi film industry. He is known for “Samarpan,” a Hindi TV show that was telecasted on DD National in November 17, 2019. This show was directed by Prasad Patki and Chadrashekar Kulkarni, and produced by Eknath Satpurkar (Aurusha Creations). It was a motivational documentary of the works done by RSS (Rashtriya Swayamseavk Sangh). This show has more than 50 episodes. Title song of this serial was composed by Ashok Patki. Each episode of this show contains a social service project, which gives the first-hand experience of the volunteers.

Chandrakant Kulkarni is a Marathi actor, director and playwright. He was born on 15 October 1963 in Marathwada (Maharashtra) to a poor family deriving their living from farming. 8. Paresh Rawal

The Padma Shri award winner who shot to fame with his role in the 1986 blockbuster film ‘Naam’, which told the story of a poor family that struggled to make ends meet, was born on 30th May 1950 in Mumbai. He completed his graduation from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai. Rawal made his debut in the film industry through the movie ‘Holi’ in the year 1984 but it was his next film, ‘Naam’, which brought him all the fame and attention as an actor. Success followed him, and he acted in over hundred films during 1980s and 1990s. Such was his versatility, that he has done roles from lead actor to Main villain. He did the role of main villain in most of his movies and he was considered as a character actor during those days. 


The 1994 hits ‘Woh Chokri’ and ‘Sir’ won him the national award for best supporting actor and ‘Sir’ won him the Filmfare award for best comedian. He received nationwide recognition as villain through his negative roles in Telugu blockbusters like ‘Kshana Kshanam’, ‘Money’ etc. He was considered as a character actor until his role in the 2000 hit ‘Hera Pheri’ which gave a turn in Paresh Rawal’s career. ‘Hera Pheri’ told the story of a witty Marathi landlord who rents his apartment out to bachelors. He started taking either lead or the main protagonist roles in many of the mainstream Bollywood films that followed. Rawal received wide recognition and appreciation for his role in ‘Hera Pheri’, and his acting in the film was considered as the major contributing factor to the movie’s success. Many comedy numbers followed and Paresh Rawal’s roles in all those movies got the best feedback. 


 He is also a renowned actor in Gujarati drama industry, and his latest play ‘Dear Father’ was a hit. He has also produced several successful TV soaps including ‘Teen Bahuraniyaan’ of ‘Zee TV’. Paresh Rawal is also into politics and won the parliament election from Ahmedabad East constituency to become the Member of Parliament for BJP in 2014. He is married to the 1979 Miss India and actress Swaroop Sampat and has two sons, Aditya and Aniruddh.

Manoj Joshi is an Indian television, theatre and film actor. He is better known for his roles in movies than in series. He is well known for his comic roles, and has been praised for his good comedy acting. His birthday is September third. The actor was born in a village called ‘Adapodara’ which is in the northern part of Gujarat. His family is versed in the acting profession, and even his brother Rajesh Joshi was an actor. Rajesh Joshi passed away in the year 1998.

One of his first roles was in the television serial Chanakya which he played before the turn of the millennium. He is also an actor in the Gujarati play of the same name, as well as its director. He won a best actor award for his portrayal of Chanakya in the series. He also acted in soap opera ‘Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka’ on Sony TV. He has also acted in several Marathi serials.

He has also acted in several films, notably comedies. His first major role was in the movie ‘Hungama’ after which he has appeared in several movies including ‘Bhagam Bhag’, ‘Ready’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’.
