The Bajpai family moved from Lucknow to Mumbai about twenty years ago and, since then, they have lost touch with their roots.

The story revolves around five siblings and their father and how their relationship takes turns in the big city. The father in the family is involved in an extra-marital affair while still living with his wife, whom he is contemptuous of. Harish’s children- Aman, who lives separately with his wife Gunjan, and Saurabh, who struggles to do something useful in life. Nikhil, who has moved out of the house to pursue his dreams, and Eisha, who is married to a wealthy banker in town, and their niece Ella, for whose wedding everyone has collected and all of their relationship are put to the test. The series deals with the parent’s expectations of their children and how life in a big city always makes a person run behind success, leaving their family values behind.
