Mayar Badhon is a Hindi-dubbed TV serial that aired on Star Jalsha. The original serial was telecasted in the Bengali language and is available on an OTT platform, Hotstar. Mayar badhon is a drama-comedy serial with a touch of romance. The story is of two loving sisters Gunja and Ronja, who lost their parents at a very young age. Gunja has always protected her sister as a mother would. Ronja is the apple of her eye and Gunja would go to any heights to protect her sister. Gunja is a responsible wife, and sister who always looks out for her whereas Ronja is a carefree and loving girl.
Gunja’s husband wants to start a family of his own but Gunja is always too busy caring for her sister. She decides not to start a family until Ronja settles in life. This creates many difficulties for the couple. Gunja can do anything for her sister, even if it means missing out on a significant part of life: motherhood. Will her marriage suffer because of her decision?
