In 1952, she had played the lead female role in Pasher Bari a movie by Sudhir Mukherjee. She was later seen in Subhada, which was again a film by Sudhir Mukherjee. The movie was based on a novel, and Sarathi played the role of Lalana, who was an unfortunate girl.
