Plot

Gowri is an orphan. She marries Khalid, a truck driver and leads a satisfying life. The happy life of Gowri and Khalid changes overnight, when Gowri kills the orphanage owner, as he misbehaves with a girl in the orphanage. What happened next? Did Gowri surrender to the police? What happened to the rest of the orphanage inmates? Watch the film to know the rest.

Star Performance

Asha Sarath lived in the character. She emotes well and surprises with various minute expressions. As usual, Lal is perfect in his role. With a limited screen presence, Lal did his best to his character. The rest of the stars did their part fairly.

Analysis

The script and screenplay are neat. The director has designed the characters well, except for Renji Panicker. In the first half, his character makes the people feel, what’s the purpose of his role and in the latter half, his character is exaggerated. Similarly, there are a lot of dramatic scenes, which could have been presented differently. A lot of characters are inserted and that seems to be forced. The visuals and the music added extra flavors to the story.

What’s There?

  • The performance of the stars is good
  • Huge star cast with familiar faces is a big plus
  • The visuals and the music are impressive

What’s Not There?

  • Certain scenes should have been filmed better

Verdict

With a good script, screenplay and performance, the film impresses the audience. Although it has some drawbacks, we needn’t peep into it much. Thelivu is watchable once!
