Darshan had failed to fulfill the expectations in the audiences through his last few movies.  His previous movies might have had the commercial element in them.  But, the movies fell short of his fans’ expectations.  Let’s see what Viraat gives him the much-needed hit.

Plot

Darshan does the role of Viraat Prasad in the movie. The character happens to be the son of a business tycoon.  He takes up the goal of sufficing the shortage of electricity in Karnataka.  So, he takes up a power plant project.  The villain Mr. Singh emerges as a twist in the movie.  The story is all about who acquires the power plant project.  There are other commercial elements in the movie as romance, stunt, patriotic vision and politics.

Star Performances:

Darshan captures everybody’s attention in the movie.  Eyes are fixed on Darshan as he moves with style and grace on the screen.  There are three heroines in the movie.  Two among them are debutants, and one has already worked in a movie.  The performance by actress Chaitra is commendable.  Noted actress Suhasini does the role of the Chief Minister, and she has lived up to the expectations.  Ravishankar’s villainous acting and expressions on the screen are equal to 22 Karat Gold.

Analysis

The movie is in and out an entertainer for Darshan’s fans.  However, it could have been better if it had avoided some stereotyped scenes. But, otherwise, the director knows the mass psychology and has given a mass entertainer with a mass hero as Darshan.

What is there?

  • The movie is a pucca commercial entertainer.
  • The action scenes in the movie are worth watching.
  • The character that Darshan has done is not the highlight, but actor Darshan himself

What is not there?

  • There is a lack of novelty in the script.
  • The dialogues by both the antagonist and the hero are repetitive and stereotyped.
  • The comedy is stale.
  • The background music does not keep up the quality.

Verdict

Darshan’s fans won’t be disappointed with Viraat.
