Indu Nagaraj is a Kannada playback singer who primarily works in the Kanada film industry. She has a successful singing career and had achieved a Filmfare Award for the song "Pyarge Aagbittaite" from the film Govindaya Namaha in 2012. She was born into a musical family at Chilkunda village in Mysore, Karnataka. She was trained in Carnatic classical music and Sugama Sangeetha music under her father since her childhood. In 2005, she performed and participated together in the singing reality show Ede Thumbi Haaduvenu hosted and judged by acclaimed singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. Both of the sisters together performed at various events and were recognized in the name "Chilkunda Sisters”.

"Sangeeta Rabindranath is a Kannada playback singer. Enchanting people with her melodious voice, catching up attention of many and pumping their adrenaline with her highly energetic live performances, Sangeetha Ravindranath is a melodious singer, songwriter and a music composer hailing from Mysore who currently resides in Bangalore. She has given her voice and has sung for over 60 Kannada movies. Having worked with top class music directors like Hari Krishna, Arjun Janya, Ajneesh Loknath, Jassie Gift and Veer Samarth, she is believed to be innate talent. Evident from her performances, she has made her mark in the music industry in a short period. This talented singer saw many difficulties in her early life.

Radhika Pandit another example of a home grown actress making it big in Kannada television and film industry. The pretty actress was born on March 7th 1984 in Bangalore. She has completed her education from Mount Carmel College.

Bharathi Vishnuvardhan is an Indian actress who worked mainly in Kannada films. She also appeared in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films. During the 60s to 80s, Bharathi appeared as a leading lady in Sandalwood. Bharathi who wanted to act in Marathi films too didn’t do so, and she later mused over that. 

Born on 15 August 1950, Bharathi hails from a Marathi-speaking culture. During 1975, she wedded Kannada superstar Vishnuvardhan. Bharathi ventured into the film industry with the 1964 Hindi flick Geet Gaya Patharon Ne. She ventured into the Kannada film industry with the 1966 romcom Love in Bangalore. Bharathi received critical accolades for her flicks Bangaaradha Manushya, Runa Muktalu, Gandondu Hennaru, Doorada Betta, Avalukendru Oru Manam, Bangaarada Jinke, and Bhagya Jyoti. Bangarada Manushya in which Bharathi shared screen space with Dr Rajkumar was a landmark in her career. Bangarada Jinke, Gandondu Hennaru and Bhagyajyothi are some other Kannada flicks which gained her recognition. 

The serial Janani aired in Kannada Doordarshan also was a showcase to her acting prowess. Runamuktalu was the film in which Bharathi worked after a long gap of 10 years. Bharathi feels that an artist will never be complacent and yearns to achieve more. 

Dilip Kumar, Dr.Vishnuvardhan, Dr.Rajkumar, Dr.NTR, ANR, Dr.Sivaji Ganesan, M G Ramachandran, Manoj Kumar, Gemini Ganesan, V Ravichandran, Krishna, Shoban Babu, Kalyan Kumar, Vinod Khanna and Dr.Ambrish are some of the popular actors with whom Bharathi shared screen space. Bharathi is still remembered for her character roles. 

Suraj, Khel, Purab Aur Paschim, Izzatdaar, Uttar Dakshin, Aao Pyaar Karen and Kunwaara Baap are some of the hit flicks of Bharathi in Bollywood. Bharathi is in the film industry for over 5 decades. Duniya Soori is and Indian director who works in mainly Kannada movies. He was born and brought up in Banglore, Karnataka. In his early childhood, he started his own signboard business in paintings, artifacts, etc. Soori has done bachelors in Visual Arts. He got married and has a son named Pruthv.

Shiva Rajkumar is the populous Kannada actor, who was born in the year 1962. He is the son of the veteran Kannada actor Raj Kumar. Shiva Raj Kumar was born in Chennai and he is the eldest one in the family. Raghavendra Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar are his younger brothers and he has two sisters too. He did his graduation in chemistry in Chennai, New College. After completing his graduation, he joined M. G. R. Film and Television Training Institute to learn acting. He is also a Kuchipudi dancer. He made his debut through the movie Anand in Kannada. This movie released in the year 1986 and Shiva got a good name in that movie. He is celebrating his silver jubilee in the film industry. 

The movie OM directed by Upendra earned him lots of fans in his career. He was also a part in the movie Sugreeva, which is one among the fastest shot movies in the Indian cinema history. This movie was shot within 18 hours. Shiva Rajkumar has acted in more than 100 movies. His latest movies are Santa Kabeera and Badshah. Some of his career best movies are Anand, Inspector Vikram, Mruthyunjaya, Purushothama, Chirabhandavya, Ananda Jyoti, Om, Dore, A. K. 47, Andaman, Hrudaya Hrudaya, Asura, Jodi, Don, Smile, Rishi, Ashoka, Sathya in Love and Shiva. The movie ‘Killing Veerappan’ of Shiva Raj Kumar is set for the release on the birthday of Raj Kumar. Shiva has bagged many awards for his acting talent. He has won four times the award for the Best Actor from Karnataka State Government. He has also lined the shields from the Filmfare too. He was also awarded by SIIMA Awards for his Social Responsibility. 

Shiva Rajkumar is married to Geeta, the daughter of the popular politician and Karnataka ex chief minister Bangarappa. This couple is blessed with two cute daughters Nivedhitha and Nirupama.

Satya Hegde was born on the 17th of May in the year 1975. He was born in Haliyal, Uttar Kannada, Karnataka, India. He is attached to the Kannada Film Industry. He is a cinematographer by profession. He works mainly in Kannada films. He made his debut in this Industry as a cinematographer in the year 2002 through the movie Taali Katuuva Shubhavele. He has been a cinematographer in over twenty films in his entire career. He had reached great heights of success in 2007 and 2013 when he was a part of the movies Duniya and Mayna respectively. He had received awards for these films.

V. Harikrishna is an Indian movie background score and soundtrack author, playback vocalist and also a movie producer. He has primarily produced background score for many Kannada movies. After his job as a software engineer and associate music artist, he made his entrance as a free music director in the movie Jothe Jotheyali, which starred the famous actor Darshan and was released in the year 2006. From that point onwards, he has been making music for many of Darshan's movies. 

Jayanth Gourish Kaikini is an Indian Lyricist, Story Teller and Poet working in Kannada Cinema and Kannada Literature. Jayanth was born on the 24th of January 1955 in Gokarna, Uttara Kannada, Karnataka State, India. Jayanth was born to Gourish Kaikini, a Kannada litterateur and Shanta, a school teacher, and a social worker. After a masters in Biochemistry which he attained from Karnataka University, Dharwad, Kaikini moved to Mumbai where he was working as a Chemist. He is now living in Bangalore with his wife and two children. Jayanth is regarded as one of the most prominent writers in Kannada today. He writes film scripts, poetry, and short stories.

Nagendra Prasad is an Indian dance choreographer and occasional actor. Most of his work has been done in either the Tamil or Kannada film industry. He belongs to a household of artists as his father is a renowned dance teacher and master while his brothers are both accomplished dancers and actors. His father, Mugur Sundar, is a very well-known choreographer who has worked dance numbers for a few South Indian films.

Yogaraj Bhat was born on 8th October, 1973 in Mandarthi, in coastal district Udupi of Karnataka. He is the 7th child of Ramachandra and Jayalakshmi Bhat. Ramachandra lost his life in a boat mishap.

Yogaraj is a famous director in Sandalwood industry. He has also tasted success as a lyricist, producer and screenwriter. He is mostly known for his 2006 hit Mungaru Male, which was written by Bhat along with Preetam Gubbi. He directed the film and wrote lyrics with others. Mungaru Male recorded the highest box office collections in Sandalwood history. His other achievements include introducing talented technicians to the industry like Pawan Kumar of Lucia, Pawan Wadeyar and many others.

His lyricist journey started with Mungaru Maleye from his film Mungaru Male and there was no looking back. He has written lyrics for more than 100 super hit songs for the films such as Gaalipata, Jackie, Junglee, Hudugaru, Paramathma, Pancharangi, Chingari, Super, Anna Bond, Crazy Loka, Shiva, Lifeu Ishtene, Johny Mera Naam, Victory and many more. He is so versatile that he can write a song like Mungaru Maleye and a fast one like Hale Paathre, showing his range of lyrical talent.

Bhat was inspired by classics like Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather, Akira Kurosawa's Ran and came to Bangalore at 22, to become a cameraman. As a newcomer, he served as an assistant to Girish Kasaravalli, Sunil Kumar Desai and many others. He was more thrilled about watching film making at close quarters than working with big names.

Bhat directed a TV serial, before making his first film. But it took him 8 years, before a producer could back him independently. His first movie was Mani and that showed memorable performances by Rangayana Raghu and veteran actress Umashree, both won State awards for their roles in the movie. Then he directed Ranga SSLC (2004) starring Sudeep and Ramya in the leading roles, however it did not do very well.

His next film after a long break Mungaaru Male became the biggest hit in South India, creating a record and followed by another hit, Gaalipata. He also acted in the film Dyavre for one of his assistants, which started his acting career.

Puneeth was born on 17th March 1975 in Madras, Tamilnadu. He entered the industry when he was six months old. Although he hails from Madras, he was brought up in Bengalaru. He left his studies in order to work in the cinema but later achieved a diploma in computer science privately. He has a family background where all his brothers, as well as his father, are involved in the same industry. As a child artist, Puneeth worked in movies like ‘Geetha and Bhagyavantha’. He was applauded for his performance as a child and received national film award for best child artist.

In 2002, Puneeth was seen playing the lead role for the first time in ‘Appu’. He received a national award for his movie ‘Butada hoovu’. Puneeth is trained in dancing, fighting and martial arts. He was involved in the mining business for a short span of time. Moreover, he was also engaged in the production of movies and TV serials. Puneeth loved his father, Dr Rajkumar a lot and therefore built a hotel in Bengalaru, as per his father’s wish. He also carried out philanthropic work in Shakti Dharma ashram, Mysore. Puneeth married Ashwini Revanth in December 1999 and has two daughters. He is an Italian designer wear freak and loves watching Spanish and Hollywood films. He admires Michael Jackson as a singer.

Puneeth Rajkumar was not only an actor but a producer, singer, and TV Presenter. He hosted Kannadada Kotyadhipati for the 1^st, 2^nd, and 4^th seasons. Puneeth was the brand ambassador of Nandini Milk Products of the Karnataka Milk Federation. He was also the ambassador of Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Karnataka team in the Indian Premier League. Besides the National Award as a child actor, he had received lots and lots of awards from the Karnataka State Government for his Best performances in Milana and Jackie, from SIIMA for Hudugaru, Yaare Koogadali, Rana Vikrama, and “Raajakumara” and from Filmfare South, he received the Best Actor award for the films, Arasu, Hudugaru, Rana Vikrama, and Raajakumara.

Tippu is a playback singer of Indian cinema. He has worked in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages. He has lent his voice to over 4000 songs in the four south Indian languages. His voice for Puneeth Rajkumar went well with the audience. Shiva Shiva Hoguthidde, Hey Hey Paaru, etc are some of his hit songs. His association with music director V Harikrishna is very famous. Tippu has sung for Tamil music composers A R Rahman, Imman, Harris Jayaraj, and Joshua Sridhar.

Deepu S. Kumar is a South Indian film editor who works in the Kannada film industry. He has worked with Kannada directors like- ‘Duniya Soori’, ‘Harsha’, ‘Yograj Bhat’ and many others in movies like ‘Jackie’, ‘Bahaddur’, ‘Vajrakaya’ and many others. Deepu married Sudha Deepu on 19th August 2007 with whom he has two children. They live in Bangalore. Deepu made his film debut as a film editor with the movie ‘Mungaru Male’ written and directed by Yograj Bhat. The film hit the screens on 29th December 2006. He also worked in Bhat’s ‘Dana Kayonu’ in 2016. Deepu worked under director Duniya Soori in the film ‘Duniya’. The movie hit the screens on 23rd February 2007 and won three awards.

B S Avinash, also known as Avinash Yelandur, is an Indian film actor. He was born on 29 August 1974 in Karnataka, India. After completing his school education in Karnataka, he attended and graduated from the University of Mysore. Avinash's father was a businessman. He has a sister named Anu. His wife's name is Geetha, and he has a son with her, Akul. He joined his late father's business earlier. He attended several workshops on acting and building confidence before auditioning for films. He played the role of Andrew in the movie KGF Chapter 1 in 2018. The movie was a box office hit globally. Then, he appeared in its sequel- KGF Chapter 2 in 2022. Avinash is a fitness enthusiast and ran in the Mysore Dasara Celebration Marathon in 2012.

Chikkanna was born in Ballahalli district of Mysuru city in Karnataka, India. He has been working in the show-business since 2011. He is best known for his works in the Kannada cinema. He has played many comic roles in various south Indian films. He debuted on television in a Mysore-based comedy show, titled Drishya Kalavide.

Krishna Nagappa is a young and successful South Indian actor, who is predominantly acting in Kannada movies. He is the chocolate boy of Kannada Film Industry. The birth name of this artist is Sunil Nagappa, and Krishna is his stage name. He became a household name after his performance as Krishna, in the serial Krishna Rukmini, after which he was named as Krishna Nagappa. Sunil was born and raised up in Sakleshpur, a town in Karnataka. After completing his under graduation, he went on to pursue MBA after which he realized his passion for movies. Sunil is the son of Nagappa, a former Police Officer, who is currently running a production house called as Krishna Talkies.

Rangayana Raghu was born on 30th November, 1963. He acts in Kannada film industry and his genre is comedy. Till date he has appeared over 100 films and most of them have been comic roles.

He began his career in theatre group by name Rangayana in Mysore, way back in 1988.  His initial salary was just Rs 800 per month. He was supposed to make his debut with 1995 film Suggi, which was directed by award winning director Hamsalekha. Unfortunately, Suggi was shelved and never released.

His first major release was 2002 film Dhumm, starring Kiccha Sudeep and Rakshita directed by M.S. Ramesh. He went to act in films like Ranga SSLC, Rakshasa, and many more. However his best films till date are 2007 film Duniya and 2013 film Director's Special.

Duniya showcased Raghu at his best. Overall Duniya bagged 4 Karnataka State Film awards in 2007, including Best Supporting Actor for Rangayana Raghu. Director’s Special is a Kannada satire comedy film, written and directed by Guruprasad. Along with debutant Dhananjay, Rangayana Raghu essays the role of lead Panche Shastry / Ramachandra. This movie really showed Rangayana Raghu’s theatrical background and what he can do in a film with his power packed performance which was a mix of comedy and sarcasm.

Jadalathimmanahalli Krishnappa Srinivasa Murthy Aka Srinivasa Murthy was born in Kolar in the state of Mysore. He is a known Kannada actor and television director. He is now at the age of 67 and living in Chikkaballapura in Karnataka. He is excellent for his work as a director and has directed many television series in Kannada. He has appeared in supporting roles in many Kannada films. He entered film industry in 1977. He started his career as a stage artist. He performed in professional and amateur theaters.
