Meghana, whose full name is Meghana Raj, is an Indian actress and model who is mostly seen and known for her performances in the Malayalam movies. Meghana has also been acting in other South Indian Industries like Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Meghana Was born on May 3, 1990 in Bangalore, Karnataka, India to the noted actors and producers of Kannada film industry- Actor Sundar Raj, who has acted in over 180 Kannada films and Pramila Joshai, who is a famous and noted actress and producer of the Kannada Film Industry.

Parul Yadav is a popular Kannada actress in both television and film. The model turned actress started her acting career in Bhagyavidhaata, a television series telecasted on Colors. In the year 2011, her acting performance in the Govindaya Namaha, a Kannada film that brought her to the limelight. She played the role of Mumtaz, a Muslim girl falling in love with Govinda played by Komal Kumar. For this very performance, she received SIIMA Best Debutant award as well as the Bangalore Times Best Newcomer Award. In addition to this, she was also nominated in the Best Female Actor category for the Udaya Awards. The song "Pyarge Aagbittaite" featuring her went viral on the internet sites and took her  towards stardom. The young actress also received the 'Glamour Icon of the Year' award from the Suvarna TV channel. 

She was born on 5th June, 1982. The actress began her career as a TV actor in Mumbai and then debuted in a B-grade Hindi movie Meri Aaghosh Mein starring opposite Shakti Kapoor. It was until 2004, Parul ventured into South Indian movies, starring in Dreams (Tamil film) that had a star cast including Dhanush as well as Diya. She was also seen on a comedy reality show named ‘Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala’ as a participant member of the team 'Raveena ke Mohre' telecasted on Star Plus.

Her mother Gayathri Prabhakar, the dubbing artist and actress, had introduced Anu Prabhakar into films. She debuted as a child artiste, in the two 1990 films “Chapala Chennigaraya” followed by “Shanti Kranti” and later went on to act in over 60 films, establishing herself well in the Kannada film industry. Having acted as the leading lady in several films, she now seems to have decided to play more of cameo roles, judging from her chosen role in the upcoming film, “Fair and Lovely”. Industry circles also say that she is perhaps now trying to get into a directorial mould – a long felt aspiration of hers. On the sidelines, she is also trying to catch up with finishing her education which she had to abruptly interrupt due to the priorities of acting, when she was an upcoming actress. After all, she had debuted as a child artiste, but her first lead role came only after another 9 years in 1999. That was in the film “Hrudaya Hrudaya”, pairing with one of the leading heroes of the time, Shivarajkumar. In her longish career thereafter, she had occasion to appear opposite Vishnuvardhan in a series of films, starting with “Soorappa” in 2000 till “Varsha” in 2005, the pair being a favourite of the cine-going crowd in Kannada at that time. Though her list of awards has been impressive, the most coveted must have been the Abhinaya Saraswathi title given to her by Kolada Math (a well known Bangalore Cultural organization), for her overall contribution to Kannada films. Amongst her notable films is “Akka” where she doubles up both as Akka Mahadevi, the Kannada poetess of yore, and also as the young Jyothi who is doing a doctoral thesis on her life and works. Perhaps the only major blot on her career has come not from her acting skills but from her personal life –the much publicized marriage of hers with Krishna Kumar, well known producer of Kannada films who also happens to be the son of yesteryear actress Jayanthi did not last long and ended up in a divorce.

Chiranjeevi Sarja was born on October 17 1984 in Bangalore; He is also known as Chiru and is an Indian film actor based in Kannada movie Industry. He also has a younger brother Dhruva Sarja. His uncle is well known actor Arjun Sarja, who is also known as "action king" and is the grandson of veteran actor Shakti Prasad.

Chiranjeevi Sarja did his schooling in Baldwin Boys High School and completed his graduation from Vijaya College; Bangalore. He started assisting his uncle Arjun Sarja for about four years before coming into Kannada film industry. He made his debut in the Kannada movie Vayuputra in the lead role. Vayuputra was a romantic action film directed and produced by his Uncles Kishore Sarja actor Arjun Sarja. Vayuputra was a remake of the hit Tamil film Sandakozhi .His films, Vayuputra, Chiru and Varadanayaka, were declared hit. So far he has done ten films in his career. Such as Gandedhe, Dandam Dashagunam, Whistle, Ajith etc.

As Chiranjeevi Sarja is a believer, he visits Chamundi Hills to pay respects to the goddess there before release of his films. In fact, after every film of his becomes a box office success, the actor visits Chamundi Hills. It has almost a custom for Chiranjeevi Sarja to pay respect to the goddess Chamundi

His brother Dhruva Sarja also started his career in the film industry in the super hit movie 'Addhuri', which also got fame and established him as upcoming star.

Chiranjeevi Sarja suffered from respiratory issues and severe chest pain on 6^th June 2020. He was admitted to the hospital in Bangalore. The treatment didn’t help him recover. His body didn’t recuperate to the medicines and he breathed his last on 7^th June 2020.

Anant Nagarakatte was born in the year 1948 on 4th September. He is a very popular actor and a politician. He is a Karnataka based actor who had given many hit movies as an actor. He is regarded as one of the prominent Kannada actors. He had reflected it in all his movies. In-fact, that is why he is known to be an actor who had never met any failures as far as his movies are concerned. Apart from acting in Kannada movies, he had also acted in other film industries. 

He acted in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Marathi and Hindi movies as well. This shows his intention of showcasing his talent irrespective of any film industry. His conviction in acting could be the only possible avenue for this concern. He got married to Gayathri in the year 1987. The couple has a daughter, namely Aditi. The best part of his success is the natural acting of the actor blended with his stylish southern Kannada slang of dialogues. 

He was born at Honnavar of the Mysore state. His brother's name is Shankar Nag. Anant Nagarakatte's prominent movie that he had acted was Malgudi days and the best part is that it was directed by his brother. This movie was made on the basis of the famous novel written by R.K.Narayan. His debut movie as an actor was Sankalpa that got released in the year 1973. 

Hamsageethe was his debut Kannada movie and the director of the movie was G.V.Iyer. He acted with Lakshya as a co-star and this pair was regarded to be a huge successful one as far as the South Indian movies are concerned. He contested in the elections for the Janatha Party in the years 1983, 1985 and 1985. His victory in politics happened in the year 1984 for the domain of Malleshwaram. He worked as a minister in BDA for the J.H.Patel's team.

Indian-born Anant Nag is an actor whose performance is making the entertainment industry more attractive to the audience. Anant is born on 4^th September 1948 and belongs to the zodiac sign called Virgo. Anant began his education in Karnataka. He married Gayathri on 9^th April 1987.Their daughter, Aditi is a result of this union. His birth name is Anant Nagarkatte.

Bungle Shama Rao Dwarakanath on 19th August 1942, in Hunsur to Bungle Shama Rao and Jayamma. He has a diploma in Mechanical Engineering before he entered world of cinema, not many know that. He was named Dwarakish by the well known Kannada film maker C. V. Shivashankar.

After completing his diploma, Dwarakish along with his brother started an automotive spare parts business in Mysore. He was attracted to acting from young age and often pestered his maternal uncle, a famous director Hunsur Krishnamurthy for a chance in movies.

Dwarakish produced his first film Mamateya Bandhana in 1966. And his independent production was in 1969, Mayor Muthanna under his own banner Dwaraka Films. He had Dr Rajkumar and Bharathi in lead roles, which was a great hit. From here on, he had a series of box office successes for next two decades. In 1985, Dwarakish began directing with Nee Bareda Kadambari. His directorial films include Nee Bareda Kadambari, Dance Raja Dance, Shruthi, Jai Karnataka, Rasika, Shruthi Haakida Hejje, Nee Thanda Kanike, Rayaru Bandaru Mavana Manege, KilaadigaLu and Majnu.

In between Dwarakish incurred huge losses due to box office failures, he was written off by entire film industry which had loved him. He had claimed on Udaya TV, that he had lost close to 32 crores of rupees. Despite this, he continued making movies and bringing new faces to the industry. No wonder not only actors, he has shown doors of opportunity to many new directors and technicians. He is fondly considered as their "Godfather". Their love and his never dying attitude, gave Dwarakish his long awaited success. He produced ApthaMitra with Vishnuvardhan as lead in 2004. It was a huge success. Industry considers him to be instrumental in the careers of greats like Vishnuvardhan, Manjula, and Srinath.

As an actor, he was known for his comic timing. However some of his movies were comic action movies with his action co star Vishnuvardhan. His nick name is ‘Kulla’ meaning short man in Kannada. He shot Singapoorinalli Raja Kulla in Singapore, by doing so became the first one in the industry to do so. He has produced close to 50 films and acted in more than 250 of them.

On 16th April 2024, Dwarakish suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and died at his residence. He was 81.

Prakash Belawadi is a famous Indian journalist, activist, TV and film personality, and a theater artist. Born in the erstwhile state of Mysore, now Bangalore, Karnataka, he was born into a family of famous theater artists. Make-up Nani, his father, was a famous theater actor and has acted in many Kannada films as well. Also, he was a famous makeup artist. Bhargavi, his mother, was an eminent Kannada theater personality. His siblings Sujata, Pradeep, and Sudha, are also famous theater personalities. Prakash co-founded the Centre for Film and Drama, Bangalore, and also started Suchitra School of Cinema and Dramatic Arts at the Suchitra Cinema and Cultural Academy campus in Bangalore in 2012.

Anoop Seelin was born in the town of Hassan, Karnataka on 24th of October. He's known to be a multi-talented personality, especially in the Kannada film industry. He works as a music director as well as a playback singer.

K.M. Chaitanya is a theater actor, director and documentary maker in Kannada languages. He made his debut as a director with the movie, Aa Dinagalu. Aa Dinagalu received many awards at different functions including Best Feature Film and Best Director Award at Filmfare Awards South in the year 2007. His next movies as a director include Suryakanthi, which was released in 2009 and Paraari, released in 2013. He also has a degree in Journalism. Also, he has worked on CNN's show CNN dot com as a Bangalore correspondent.
