Plot

Four married women decide to take a break from the mundanity of their lives and go on an exciting adventure offering boundless new experiences and passion to Goa.

Analysis

Jahaan Chaar Yaar is a comedy drama that is female-centric at its core. The message in the film is meant to empower women through the lens of four married women who struggle to break free of Indian society and its norms for married females. It has a good script, but the direction is seemingly faulty because it turns into a snooze-fest at various points throughout the film. The acting is pretty good, however, and the plot gets various twists with random things and characters popping up here and there.

It's a movie with a good message that explores women discovering an identity outside their marital relations and finding themselves without being burdened by societal expectations.

Star Performance

The cast was quite good in their dialogue delivery and overall acting. Swara Bhaskar played the role of a meek homemaker surprisingly well.

Verdict

Jahaan Chaar Yaar is a decent watch if you opt for a women-centric movie with an empowering message. The movie isn't the best out there nor incredibly entertaining but it has a heartfelt message and is an excellent female-buddy genre film.
