Plot

Midway speaks about the heroic attempt by the American Navy soldiers who faced a huge attack by the Japanese Navy at Pearl Harbor. After the attack, the Battle of Midway happened during the Second World War.

Star Performance

Ed Skrein’s performance as Lt Richard Dick Best is energetic and impressive. Patrick Wilson as Lt Commander Edwin Layton did his best and Nick Jonas, who played the young Aviation Machinist named Mate Bruno Gaido tried to give his best.

Analysis

War movies are always tough to make. These kinds of movies have a lot of characters and the directors find it tough to choose the stars and allot the roles. Midway has a massive crew of actors. The characterization is perfect and the stars are allotted the right roles. The technical and production values of the film are ethical. Although some scenes seem to be lengthy, the director managed to bring the movie short with his paced narration.
