George Needleman, a gentle and suave guy, is the CFO of a Wall Street investment bank. All along, he is in the seventh heaven and his life moves on smoothly. But, life is not a bed of roses, and George Needleman is no exception. His wife Kate has nerve-racking experience taking care of George’s mentally-ill mother Barbara. George is stuck in the chaos between his wife and young daughter who is a spoilt brat.
But suddenly, an alarm clock rings waking up from his snooze. It comes as a bolt from the blue that the company he works for has been handling a scheme backed by a frenzied mob. George Needleman is the scapegoat. He is slashed with criminal charges and the mob plans to eliminate him. Now, George has to rush to a safe place with his family. Brian, federal prosecutor from Atlanta, offers refuge for the family in his Aunt Madea’s house. The first meeting does not augur well, but later, the movie has a twist with Madea smoothing the relationship between Kate and her daughter Cindy.
A shattered George’s wife Kate, along with Joe, takes up every possible effort to bring George back to his form.
Jake, who had been involved in few crimes, has an ailing father. His father is a church pastor who believes that his son has undergone amendment. Jake tries to redeem the money invested in Needleman’s company without a nod of consent from his father. But, much to his shock, he loses all of his investments in the Ponzi scheme.
George is inspired by a Church sermon, and he forms a plot to recover and restore the lost funds back to the charities. George, Jake and Madea set out on the mission to recover the funds and restore those to the charities. The story is about how the mission becomes successful.
The movie has a happy ending with George and Kate realizing that their ties have been strengthened.
