Plot:
This movie brings alive the ancient Greek Mythology on screen with a great visual experience. A callous King, Hyperion is on a rage to kill and destroy mankind using a weapon capable of bringing an end to humanity.
Gods were not allowed to interfere in the matters of mankind but to help humanity; God appointed a common man named Theseus. He was the chosen one who was supposed to fight against this king. The director, however, tries his best to make this movie as large scale as possible, but it still seems a rather lower-scale one when compared to other Greek mythologies.
The movie is an epic but doesn’t quite feel like it. It may be because of the constrained in budgets that the film doesn’t seem all that larger than life as an epic film is expected to be. Actors in the film have done an excellent job with immense intensity. Their appearance seems pretty. The story of the film seems a little too slow in pace for a violent movie. It is filled with a lot of violence and viciously grisly scenes.
The one thing that keeps you gripped to the movie is the amazing and mesmerizing visuals and locations. As much as this movie is full of action, it still feels unsatisfactory, and you always expect a little more. This leaves you rather disappointed. Adding to the violence, visuals, and pretty cast is the element of 3D that experiments. The 3D part seems like a job that is well done owing to the extravagant visual experience that it offers.
Verdict:
This movie can be a one-time watch, and it may be a good experience for anyone looking for a pleasant time spent watching visuals that are extravagant and almost larger than life.
