In 1993, he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in music from American Brown University, Rhode Island. After that, in 1995, he did his Master of Fine Arts from the Juilliard School in music composition. The film scores for which he is known are in the movies such as 13 Going on 30, State and Main, Wet Hot American Summer, Along Came Polly, Idiocracy, The Devil Wears Prada and Fun with Dick and Jane.
