Vijay Jayapal is a filmmaker and director working in the Indian Film Industry. The work done by him is mostly in Tamil Cinema. He entered the space of filmmaking in the year 2016. Vijay was born and brought up in Chennai in the state of Tamil Nadu. He first directed a short film in 2013 titled The Surreal and another one in 2015 called Matrimony. The first feature movie directed by him was the Tamil film Revelation (2016). The movie was screened at the 21st International Film Festival held in Busan.
He later directed Nirvana Inn in 2019. All four films mentioned above have also been written by Vijay himself. He also produced all the films except for Nirvana Inn. His movie Nirvana Inn was nominated for the Yashwant International Film Festival, the Pune International Film Festival, and the Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne in 2020.
