Arun Karthick

Born in 1992, Arun Karthick is one of the renowned directors of the Kollywood industry. He was born and brought up in Coimbatore. Apart from being a director, he is also a writer and production designer. He had a passion for writing scripts since his college days. The talented writer sometimes writes four films a day. He wrote and directed his first short film while he was in college. This film helped him gain an excess of knowledge in this field. He visited numerous film festivals across entire India and met acclaimed cinematographers, technicians, etc.

Arun made his debut in the entertainment film industry through the drama movie ‘Sivapuranam,’ which released in 2015. He not only wrote the script of this film but also directed this film. Another film which he wrote and directed was ‘Nasir,’ which released in 2020. He not only won the hearts of people from this movie but also won the Neptac Award at Rotterdam International Film Festival. This film was titled as the best Asian feature film.
