Ajmal Hasbulla

Ajmal Hasbulla is a renowned music composer from Kollum, Kerala, India. His uncle, Kollam Naushad Babu is a famous mappilapattu singer and sang for the movie ‘1921’. He graduated with a degree in Carnatic Vocals from Swathi Thirunal College of Music, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. He did a course in sound programming in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Ajmal briefly worked in Dubai, only to return to Kerala to pursue a music career. He made advertisement jingles and music for short films. He joined music director Mejjo Joseph as a keyboard programmer.

He worked with Mejjo on the movies ‘ Saira Banu When Saira made her debut in film Junglee, she was >> Read More... ’ and ‘Vaarikkuzhiyile Kolapathakam’. He worked with Sam C S who is known for his work in the films ‘ Kaithi Click to look into! >> Read More... ’, ‘ Vikram Vedha Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ and ‘ Odiyan Click to look into! >> Read More... ’. He was finally picked for the BGM for ‘Vrithakrithiyilulla Chaturam’. The movie won him the Best Background Music Award at the Kerala State Film Awards. He has also worked as a composer in the movies ‘The Arbit Documentation of An Amphibian Hunt: Aavasavyuham’, ‘Purusha Pretham’ and ‘Oru Bharatha Sarkar Ulppannam’.
