Deepa Divakar is a Malayalam actor and TV presenter. She has anchored reality shows and acted in several South Indian films. Her major works include movies such as Mahaprabhu, Nine bells, and Shavam. Deepa came into the limelight when she anchored youth reality shows like Youth Diary and Just Chill. She is a bold artist, and her personality shows that.

Apart from acting, she has done modeling for EMCEE. The passionate Deepa Divakar quit her job to pursue a career in the entertainment field. She believes that life is like theatre and there are no retakes in it. Currently, Deepa is a host for a cookery show on Kairali Tv named Food on Road. She took birth in Ernakulam, Kerala. Since childhood, Deepa was passionate about theatre and acting.

She took acting lessons but also concentrated on her studies. She did her MBA (Masters in Business Administration) and got a job with a multi-national company. Deepa worked in the company for some years, until she left it to pursue a career in the entertainment field.

Deepa also did live shows and learned theatre from artist Sajeevan Nambiar. She did some plays and then made her debut in the action thriller, Mahaprabhu. Directed by K V Anil, Mahaprabhu showed Deepa in the role of villain’s girlfriend.

Then, she appeared in the 2nd lead role in the movie nine bells. The friendship oriented feature film became Deepa’s next stepping stone in the industry. Deepa in an interview said that satisfaction is more valuable than money. She might not have appeared in important roles, but her efforts are worth appreciating. In 2015, she appeared in the C Palathara directorial Savam.

The experimental art film got shot in black and white. Also, it got selected for screening at eight international film festivals and received Best Foreign Film Award at Barni International Festival, Moscow. Deepa’s career has faced sacrifice, and she has shown that passion comes before profession.

She is making her mark among the young faces in the industry. In 2016, Kairali TV appointed Deepa to host a travelogue show named, Food on Road. It explores and represents different culinary of India. Deepa’s next venture is a solo performance that will present her as the center of attraction.
