P S Manu is an Indian film director most known for his Malayalam movies. Munroe Thuruthu, his previous film, was released in theatres in 2016. The renowned Aravindan Puraskaram, established in honor of legendary Malayalam director late Aravindan, has been awarded to filmmaker P S Manu. For his film 'Munroethuruthu (Munroe Island),' Manu was nominated for the 'best debutant director' category in the 25th edition of the award. According to a press release, the award included a monetary reward of Rs 25,000, a memento, and a citation. Manu handled a highly complicated topic of unpredictable human mind and conduct in 'Munroethuruthu,' according to an expert panel convened by director Kamal.

In 2020, he returned with a short film that was contemporary and relevant. The 12-minute video, titled 'Error,' tells the story of two people stuck between reality and virtual reality during the Covid19 lockdown. After Munroe Thuruthu, Manu started working on another project. It took him to the mountains, but he ended up facing some medical condition there and was bedridden. After getting better, he dropped that idea and started working on different projects.
