Sudha’s husband Sathya  Horanadu too is a scriptwriter and has written the script for the movie Swadesh. Sudha’s daughter too is acting in movies now.

Sudha claims she had no interest in TV and films initially. She was working as a publicity manager for a firm and has even worked in an ad agency. But during the television boom, Sudha was asked to make her acting debut in television on the behest of her brother Prakash and TN Seetharam, who then were involved with producing and directing television. 

Sudha’s first stint was the serial Shubha Mangala. The actress who enjoyed acting in the serial initially later lost charm as the serial went off course to maintain TRP rating. She says her character had no direction and hence she quit. She then went on to act in another Kannada serial named Mahaparva.

The actress whose acting abilities were then sought to play the role of Preetham’s mother played by Ganesh gave her overnight popularity.
