Anita Devgan is a Punjabi comedian, theatre artist, and film actress, who earned popularity for her performance as Diljit Dosanjh’s mother in Anurag Singh’s romantic comedy film, Jatt & Juliet (2012) and its sequel, Jatt & Juliet 2 (2013). Since then, the talented lady was usually seen in a motherly role in most of the films she worked on.

She started working on stage in the year 1992 and became the director of Theater Persons, a theatre group based in Amritsar, who had performed plays like Damru. Until now, she consistently works on stage, particularly in rural areas and carried the nukkad nataks drama form. She and her husband, Hardeep Gill, have been organizing the Punjab Theatre Festival since 2007.

Anita is giving different theatre groups the opportunity to visit different cities where they can showcase their talents. She aims to get the Punjab Natak from those cities so all those theatre groups can perform in one platform.
