Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton was born in Oklahoma, the United States, on 18th June 1976. He is a singer by profession and is also a celebrity on the small screen. His mother is Dorothy and she is a beautician and his father, Richard Shelton is a car seller. From his childhood, Blake was interested in singing and was passionate about it. His uncle taught him how to play guitar, and he penned his first songs at the age of 15. At the age of 17, he graduated and moved to Tennessee to learn and pursue singing as a career.

In 1997, he signed a contract with Sony Music. Blake’s first single, “I wanna talk about me” was considered inappropriate for him, so it wasn’t released. His debut album, “Austin” released but soon after that the company shut down, and Blake came in direct contract with Warner Bros. Soon his second album under Warner Bros. released in 2003 which grabbed media coverage and Blake came into the limelight. The songs were fresh and energetic, and the audience loved it.

“The Baby” reached the No. 1 spot on the charts and remained there continuously for three weeks. Blake continued with his work and released various albums. In 2011, Blake released Red River Blue; the album’s “Honey Bee” had numerous downloads in the very first week with the numbers going to 138,000. Shelton became a judge on ‘The Voice’ and in the fourth season of the show, his guided team won for the third time. A person with such credibility is hard to find. Blake is an inspiring personality and has always held his head high. On November 17, 2003, Blake married Kaynette Gern. Their marriage only lasted three years, and they divorced in 2006.
