Joop Stokkermans

Johannes Andreas, also known as Joop Stokkermans, was a Dutch pianist and composer. OnFebruary 20, 1937, he was born in Leiden, Netherlands. Johannes has composed songs for several films and advertisements. He has also released several music albums. In 1978, he gave sound for the film Pinkeltje. Director Harrie Geelen directed the movie and it stars Aart Staartjes, Bob de Lange, Emmy Lopes Dias, etc. The film’s story revolves around a white-bearded old man whose name was Pinkeltje, he is a fictional character in children’s storybooks. He wears a pointed hat and is as tiny as a pinky finger. And so he got his name as Pinkeltje, which means 'fingerling' in Dutch. In 1992, he composed sound for the film, For a Lost Soldier.

Director Roeland Kerbosch directed the film and it stars Maarten Smit, Jeroen Krabbe, Andrew Kelley, Freark Smink, etc. The movie is an inspiration from the same-titled autobiographical novel written by Rudi Van Dantzig. Guurtje Buddenberg and Matthijs Van produced the film. The plot of the series revolves around two guys, who love each other, a Dutch boy and a Canadian soldier. The story was set up inrural Holland in 1945. He has also released several albums like Les Chansons des Barbapapa in 2015.

It is composed by Burny Bos, Harrie Geelen, and Joop.In 2018, another album got launched, Er is een lied dat komt en dat gaat. It is composed by Harrie Geelen along with Joop. He learned piano and music composition at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague, with Theo van der pas. In 1974, he was also awarded the Golden Harp Award for his work in the music industry. Unfortunately, on 25th October 2012, he died in Hilversum, Netherlands.
