Later, he worked as a camera operator for the following: the television series Poltergeist: The Legacy, television movie Final Descent, and the television show The Crow: Stairway To Heaven.

He worked in the same capacity for the film MVP: Most Vertical Primate, TV movies Blacktop, After The Storm, and the video Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch. Glenn served as a cinematographer for the 2008 film Stone of Destiny, the television movie Rags, and another flick Dead Heat.

One of Winter’s notable projects is the superhero television series Smallville, which premiered in 2001. The series focuses on the character Superman, played by Tom Welling, who learns to make constructive use of his supernatural powers in Smallville, Kansas. Winter worked as a cinematographer for ninety-two episodes from 2002-2011. He also has the credit of helming twelve episodes of the show titled Cyborg, which introduces the superhero, Fallout, Blue, Committed, Crimson, Traveler, and Legion.

Winter has the credit of handling the cinematography of the series Arrow from 2012 to 2014, during which period he looked after twenty-nine episodes of the show. Later, he moved into the direction of episodes Dead To Rights, Season 2 episodes Blind Spot, Broken Dolls, and The Promise.

He helmed other episodes, such as the premiere of Season 3, The Calm, and the episode Left Behind Click to look into! >> Read More... . At the start of the fourth season, Winter donned the role of a producer too.

Later, Glenn handled the direction of photography of The Flash, a sister series of Arrow. He has the credit of helming the episodes Going Rogue, Flash vs. Arrow, and The Nuclear Man. The cinematographer was declared a producer for the second half of the series. Winter was also handed over the direction of the pilot episode of Legends of Tomorrow, a spin-off of Arrow and Flash.  Later, he also worked as a producer of the series.                                     

In addition to the above credits, Winter directed another superhero television series Supergirl, launched on CBS in 2015. He helmed seven episodes of the series.

His other projects include Doom Patrol, another superhero series, where he worked as a producer and directed the episodes Pilot and Finger Patrol.
