Yamuna is a Malayalam serial and film actress, known for her supporting character roles. Yamuna is more popular among the family audience for her negative roles in the teleserials. 

Yamuna hails from Kollam district of Kerala. Yamuna started her acting career through an album song for Onam in Doordarshan Malayalam in the late 1990s. She had her debut in Malayalam movies through a Mega star Mammootty movie, Stalin Sivadas in 1997, in which she did as small role. Yamuna got noticed by her negative role in Vayalar Madhavan Kutty’s celebrated serial, Jwalayayi, which was produced by Megastar Mammootty and broadcasted in Doordarshan Malayalam in 2000-2002 over 500 episodes. Yamuna’s role was noticed in director Lal Jose's celebrated Dileep movie Meesa Madhavan in 2002, in which she played the sister-in-law of Dileep. There on she played character roles in Director Vinayan’s War and Love (2003) and Meerayude Dukhavum Muthuvinte Swapnavum (2003). She had a long career break for 6 years after which she made a comeback in director Johny Antony’s Ee Pattanathil Bhootham(2009). Since 2011 Yamuna is active in TV serials. Yamuna was a part of the popular serial Amma, directed by Adityan, which has completed more than 700 episodes on Asianet from 2011-2014. Yamuna has done the character of Mohini, Vidhyasagar’s wife in the serial. She is also acting in serials Amala (Mazhavil Manorama), Nirakkottu (Kairali TV) and Chandanamazha (Asianet). In Chandanamazha, she plays the role of Madhumathi, mother in law character of Varsha, the protagonist. She has gained popularity through this role.

In personal life, Yamuna is married to Malayalam film director S B Mahesh. They have two kids.

Kanakalatha is a very popular teleserial actress known for her character Narayani in a hit serial telecasted on Doordarshan in the late 80's.  She was born on 24 August 1960. She hails from Kollam, Kerala. She studied in St. Joseph’s Girls High School, Kollam. She began her acting career after her school education. She began her film journey in the 70’s in the movie Chillu directed by Lenin Rajendran. She associated herself with Kalidasa Kala Kendra and a few other drama troupes in Kollam to have a steady income. She went on acting in films along with theater plays. In the late 80’s she became the most sought after Tele serial actress in Doordarshan. Her first serial was Oru Poo Viriyunnu. She has acted in more than 400 serials till date in Malayalam and Tamil. Her Popular movies are Rajavinte Makan, Kattukuthira, Appu, Kireedam, Vakkalathu Narayanankutty, and Harikrishnans to name a few. Her tele serials like Amma, Harichandanam, Velankanni Mathavu, and Alavudeente Athbhutavilaku were all big hits. In the serial Amma, she played a character with a negative touch in the role of Mandakini. This serial lasted for three years (from 2011-2014).

Bindu Ramakrishnan, with an acting career spanning over 53 years in all genres – plays, serials, movies, telefilms – Bindu Ramakrishnan has proved her versatility by portraying characters with various shades, including humorous and villainous roles. She started as a drama artist at the age of 8 and played a major role as a heroine at 13 with the drama troupe Cochin Anupama. Her maiden entry to filmdom was through 'Shapamoksham' (1974), which, incidentally, was also the first movie starring Jayan. At 18, she married Ramakrishnan, the brother of Cochin Anupama troupe owner P R Sivan. She won the award for best drama artists in 1986 for her performance in 'Swayamvaram'. Soon, offers poured in from mini-screen, she signed to play a negative character in the serial 'Sararanthal'. As Bindu began to scale heights of her career, Ramakrishnan quit his job as a journalist to accompany her and support her. She became a well-known face by portraying various memorable characters in movies, notably 'Nerariyan CBI', 'Jeevan Mashai',' 'Pranayavarnangal', 'Kammath&Kammath', 'Thuruppugulan', etc. Her husband passed away in 2010, following which she took a break from acting. However, she made a comeback after the immense support from her sons Jeevan, Vinod, and their family and is now into acting with super-hit serials, including 'Amala' and 'Aardram'.

Vinduja Menon is a former Malayalam cine actress and dancer from Kerala. She was active in Malayalam movies during 1985-1999. She is now more active in teaching and performing classical dance.

Vinduja was born in Trivandrum to K.P. Vishwanathan Menon and Kalamandalam Vimala Menon. Vinduja’s mother, Kalamandalam Vimala Menon is a renowned dancer and Mohiniyattam exponent. As a child, Vinduja got training  in Indian classical dance from her mother and also received training in classical music. She participated in dance competitions right from her school days and won many prizes for both dance and music. She was “Kalathilakam” in Kerala State school youth festival in 1991 and the first artist from Trivandrum to have this honor. She studied at NSS college for Women at Karaman, Trivandrum. Dance continued to be passion and priority for Vinduja till now.

Vinduja entered Malayalam film field as a child artist in Priyadarshan’s movie Onnanam Kunnil Oradi Kunnil, in which Mohanlal and Shankar played the lead roles, in 1985. Following this she did supporting  roles in Padmarajan’s Nombarathi Poovu (1987) and Njan Gandharvan (1991). In 1994 she played the role of Mohanlal’s sister in two movies, Pingami and Pavithram, directed by Sathyan Anthikkad and TK Rajeev Kumar. Her role in Pavithram as Meenakshi, sister 30 year younger to Unnikrishnan (Mohanlal), is the most recognized of all the roles that Vinduja played in her career. She was heroine in movies Bheeshmaachaarya (1994) and Kanchanam (1996) opposite to Manoj K Jayan. Vinduja’s last movie was Devadasi in 1999.

After her career in films Vinduja started doing TV serials starting with Sthree in Asianet since 1998. She played a notable character in that serial alongside Vinaya Prasad. Vinduja was also a part of Vayalar Madhavan Kutty’s celebrated serial, Jwalayayi which was produced by Megastar Mammootty and broadcasted in Doordarshan Malayalam in  2000-2002 over 500 episodes. Her latest serial was in Kathayariyathe which was broadcasted in Surya TV and concluded in February 2014. Vinduja played a mature role of a Thresya, the protagonist. She has also done other serials like Sneham and Ishtamaayi on Asianet and  Sassneham in Amrita TV.

Apart from being an actress and dancer Vinduja has done some play back singing, like the female version of the song Kaavum Kovilakavum ,from the movie Aabharanachaarthu (2002), written by Bichu Thirumalai and music by MG Radhakrishnan and Kamalappoovu Neeyalle  from Raajamudra (2008), a dubbed Telugu movie starring Rishi and Gopika. Vinduja was also appeared as celebrity judge in kids reality show, Munch Star Singer Junior, on Asianet and as main judge and groomer in the dance reality show, Dance Party, on Kairali TV.

In personal life, Vinduja is married to Mr. Rajesh Kumar and the couple has one daughter, Neha. At present Vinduja and her family are settled in Malaysia, where she is running a dance school for young aspirants. Vinduja is also a part-time teacher in her mother’s dance school, Kerala Natya Academy,at Thiruvanathapuram. Vinduja is now fully concentrating on her dance shows, for which she travels to India and other parts of the world.

Anila Sreekumar is a Malayalam actress and serial artist who was born in Calicut, Kerala and now settled in Thiruvananthapuram. She was born on Feb 11, 1970, and completed her schooling from Presentation high school, Calicut. She did her graduated from Govt. Arts and science college, Calicut. 

She debuted in Malayalam film industry through the ever-famous Malayalam movie “Sargam” which was directed and scripted by the renowned director “Hariharan” And the movie was released in 1992. The movie got many awards, including Kerala state film awards for the category Best Director, Second best actor and for the best music director. The movie has also won national award for the best popular film. The cast includes Manoj. K. Jayan, Vineeth, Nedumudi Venu, Rambha, Urmila, Thilakan and many talented Malayalam actors. Manoj. K. Jayan’s role “Kuttan Thampuran” won many critic awards and still it remains in the heart of the Malayalam audience. 

The movie has a wonderful sound track which was done under the direction of the late music director and composer “Bombay Ravi”. The movie has 11 songs which all were equally popular. 

Anila has also done a few movies “Chantha”, “Jalamarmaram”, “Andolanam”, “Pattanathil Sundharan”, “Japam”, “Njaanaanu Party” from the year 1992 to 2014. She is also famous among the Television serials “Suryaputhri”, “Ilam thennal pole”, “Deepnagalkku chuttum”. Though she has only done a few serials and movie, she remains popular among the family audience. She appeared in Television shows “Tharolsavam”, Celebrity cookery magic show” and “Comedy stars.

Sreekala Sasidharan now known as Sreekala Vipin, born on May 31, 1984 is an Indian actress who is mostly seen in Malayalam TV serials. She has also won Kalathilakam and is a trained classical dancer. After winning Kalathilakam, she got noticed by the media and she got a chance to anchor a music show in a local channel.

Beena is a Malayalam Tele and Film Actress. Born in the year 1972 in Thrissur, Kerala, she is the youngest daughter in the family. Her parents are Antony and Soshamma.  She started her acting career first in the year 1991 with Godfather. She has mainly appeared in supporting roles in the movies.

With more than fifty movies to her credit, Beena has essayed the supporting casts with ease and proficiency. She only acts in Malayalam movies. Sarathi and Dhanayathra are the films lined for her. Spanning a career of more than two decades, this actress is still doing a remarkable job.

Sangeeta Mohan  is popular Indian Malayalam TV and movie actress. She started her acting career since her school days. She started off with an advertisement for Kilimark umbrellas, which was popular in those days. While she was in her 9th grade in school, she acted in a social awareness video on Epilepsy for C-DIT Kerala. That was the real breakthrough in her acting career. Early in her career, she has acted in many album songs like Karivalakal and devotional albums songs like Kanjanam and Chottanikkarayile Sivaranjini. 

Sangeetha Mohan was also a part of Vayalar Madhavan Kutty’s celebrated serial, Jwalayayi, which was produced by Megastar Mammootty and broadcasted in Doordarshan Malayalam in  2000-2002 over 500 episodes She acted in many serials since then in very powerful roles. Some of her serials are  Devi Mahatmyam on Asianet. Chakravakam on Surya TV etc. She is also a very active  participant in Kairali TV reality show for teleserial artists like Tharolsavam and Nakshatra Deepangal. She was a real star in those programmes, and she revealed her talent as a dancer in the show.

She has acted in supporting roles in movies like Jeevan Mashai in 2001, Sound of Boot in 2008 and Lisammayude Veedu in 2013.  

Sangeetha hails from the state capital and her parents were Kerala government employees. She lives with her parents, brother, sister in law and sister. Chandra Lakshman is a famous television serial and movie actress from Kerala. Born in 1983, Chandra is the only daughter of Mr. Lakshman and Mrs. Malathi. Chandra was brought up in Chennai, and she has a degree in Hotel Management. Chandra’s entry into the entertainment industry was quite unexpected. Keezhoote Balakrishna Pillai Ganesh Kumar (known as K B Ganesh Kumar) is an actor, TV host and even a politician. He is the son of the veteran politician, R. Balakrishna Pillai. Like his father, the actor too had a long innings in his political career having won three times from his constituency in the election. The actor first made his foray into films during 1985.

Kollam Tulasi whose real name is K.K. Tulasidharan Nair was born on May 29, 1949. Kerala Film Critics presented him the best supporting actor award for the movie Lelam in 2006, and he was given the Best Serial Actor award in 2008 for the serial Kadamattathu Kathanar. Kollam Tulasi has played excellent characters in both Cinema and Serial Industry. He began acting in stage plays while in school itself. In college, he won the best actor award several times. Later, he went on to become a Government Servant but did not stop acting. His first film was Aambalpoovu, directed by Harikumar in 1979. He has played the roles of Minister and M.L.A in almost 85 movies and has mostly portrayed villainous characters in cinema and serials. His popular movies would include Oru CBI Diary Kurippu, The King, Commissioner, Lelam, Godfather, etc. He did many programmes (more than 300 radio dramas) for All India Radio, acted in more than 200 films, and almost same number of tele serials. The actor is also a writer and a poet having published several of his works. He is also a renowned social worker and is the regional Chairman of Health Oriented Programmes Establishment based in Kannur, Kerala. He is married to Vijaya Devi and has a daughter Gayathri.

Vishnuprakash is an Indian Actor, who works in the Malayalam Film industry. He started his career in a Romantic movie Namukku Parkkan Munthiri Thoppukal under the direction of P. Padmaranjan. After that, he worked in movies like Geetam in 1986 and played the role of a bus conductor. Besides these movies, he also worked in Kathakku Pinnil in 1987, Jagratha in 1989, Oral Mathram in 1997, Note Out in 2011 and Take off in 2017. In 2018, he appeared in a TV Series Bhagya Jathakam and also he worked in the film Kayamkulam Kochunni.

Kochu Preman is a noted, popular and famous actor who acts in the Malayalam films and is mostly seen playing comical characters. Kochu Preman is the actor’s screen name or the stage name and is real recordial name is K.S. Premkumar. Kochu Preman was born on June 1st 1955 to parents Kamaramathil Shivaraman Shastri and T.S Kamalam in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. Kochu Preman completed his education from M.G.College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. From his college days, he became interested in acting and gradually became passionate about the same. After completing his college education, Kochu Preman was associated with a theatre group for 18 long years named Kalidasa Kala Kendram. In the year 1995, he got an offer for acting in films and made his debut as an actor in the Malayalam movie Dilliwala Rajkumaran. Preman’s performances in a character with a comic touch were well liked and appreciated by both the audiences, directors and producers. K.S.Premkumar then took the screen name Kochu Preman and went to star in over 100 Malayalam films till date. In the year 1984, Kochu Preman married another famous Malayalam TV serial actress Girija and together they have a son named Hari Krishnan. Ravi Vallathol is a film cum serial actor born in 1952 at Malappuram district of Kerala and is the nephew of famous Mahakavi Vallathol Narayana Menon. His father T.N Gopinathan Nair was a famous writer and written scripts for many dramas. From the school time itself Ravi started acting in dramas etc. Jagathy Sreekumar, the famous Malayalam actor was his schoolmate and both did drams together in school time.

His did his first writing venture for Revathikkoru Pavakkutty, which was later made as movie by Sathyan Anthickad. After that, when Doordarshan started in Trivandrum he got many opportunities in television serials and that gave him a turning point in his life .He made his first debut as a tailor in the serial Vaitharani scripted by his father T.N Gopinathan itself. Later he got many serials back to back and all the characters’ he played were accepted by the Malayalam audience. Till now he did more than 100 serials in Malayalam.

Later he entered into film field and his first movie was Swathi Thirunal inn 1987 directed by Lenin Rajendran. He then acted in many movies like Oru Sayahnathinte Swapnam, Ee Thanutha Veluppan Kalathu, Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu ,Uppukandam Brothers Back in Action ,The Dolphins etc. He also did the job of newsreader in Doordarshan in 1980s and produced almost 200 documentary films.

Ravi Vallathol is married to Geethalakshmi and the couple didn’t bless with children. They started a organization named Thanal for the mentally retarded children in 1988.the real actor inside Ravi was identified by his father and in almost all interviews and his writing he mentions about his father.

Ibrahim Kutty is a famous actor from Kerala, and he is the brother of Mammootty, the mega star of Malayalam cinema. Ibrahim’s son, Makbul Rahman, is also stepping into Mollywood, following his uncle, cousin, and father. Makbul’s first movie was, “Asura Vittu”, and Ibrahim also has a daughter named Asha. Ibrahim decided to follow the successful path of his elder brother. He started his career in serials and later moved on to movies. He played a very critical role in the serial, “Paethu Ozhiyate” as Jayabharathi’s son-in-law. In the super hit serial, “Amma”, he plays the role of a retired judge, Govintha Menon.

Muhammed Kutty Ismail Paniparambil is the original name of Mammootty, the Malayalam superstar. Having working in more than 300 movies he is still a star to reckon with, in Malayalam film industry. Apart from acting, he was also a lawyer. Currently he is busy with philanthropic works too.

Born on 7th September 1951, Mammootty also donned the role of a producer. He has worked in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada, other than Malayalam films. He garnered the National Award for his acting skills, thrice in his career. He shares this feat with veteran actor Kamal Haasan. 5 Kerala State Film Awards and a dozen Filmfare Awards also decorate his cupboard. Mammootty was bestowed with Padmashri during 1998. He is fondly called as Mammukka or Megastar by Malayalam fans.

Hailing from Kottayam, Kerala, Mammootty, after studying in Maharajah College, he pursued law at the Ernakulam Government Law College. Mammootty entered the film industry through the insignificant role in the film Anubhavangal Paalichakal in 1971. The flick Devalokam was the first flick in which he played the lead role. Sphodanam and Trishna made Mammootty a star to reckon with in Malayalam cinema.

Mammootty was very much lauded for his performance in the flick New Delhi. Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha is the another film which provided the perfect fodder to his acting skills. In his career, Mammootty acted with several actors and actresses. Mammootty also involved himself in the production of some serials in television. Mammootty is credited with the responsibility of Akshaya project’s goodwill ambassador. He also supports various other social causes, including a project pertaining to health.

Mukundan Menon is a Malayali actor. He has worked in various films and television programs. He has also performed in numerous stage plays. The actor was born and raised in Kerala, India. Mukundan had a deep fascination for acting from his childhood. He joined the Thrissur school of drama which is located in Kerala to make his passion into a profession.

M. R. Gopakumar is an actor, who acts in Malayalam films and is mainly seen playing the roles of supporting characters. M. R. Gopakumar also works in Malayalam daily soap operas and has acted in over 50 films in Malayalam language. M. R. Gopakumar was also the first Indian actor to work with Hollywood’s ace director Steven Spielberg in his film A Lost World. Other than pursuing acting as a passion Gopakumar collaborated with the Postal-Accounts department of the Government of Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram, India. 

Dr. Shaju Sham is popular among the Malayalee audience through his break-up role in 'Jwalayayi', a mega TV Serial, which was aired on Doordarshan. 'Jwalayayi' which was produced by film actor Mammootty, and directed by Vayalar Madhavankutty, is the first breakthrough for Dr. Shaju in the cine field. 'Minnukettu,' from Surya TV, gave Dr. Shaju one of his best role in serials, that always gets remembered. Shaju was popular among his college friends by doing amateur dramas and mimics during college fests.

Venu Arvind, or commonly known as Venu Aravind, is a Tamil TV and film actor, stage artist, dubbing artist and director. He was born on November 9, 1965, and studied B.Sc Physics with Masters in Management at DG Vaishnav College located at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. However, he rather chose media as his interest. He comes from a conservative family, but his parents gave their blessings and even encouraged him to do his best. He was married to Shobha.

Nedumudi Venu was born on 22nd May 1948. He is commonly known as Kesavan Venu Gopal. His parents are PK Kesavan Nair and Kunjikkuttiyamma in Nedumudi Alappuzha in Kerala. He had four siblings, all brothers. His father was a schoolmaster. Nedumudi completed his primary education at NSS Higher Secondary School and St Mary's Higher Secondary School, Champakulam. During school days, he was interested in music and arts.
