Gunjan Dangwal was an Indian singer, music producer, and lyricist from Uttarakhand. Gunjan Dangwal was born on 4 September 1996 in Akhodi village of Tehri Garhwal district, Uttarakhand. He was the son of Kailash Dangwal (father) and Sunita Dangwal (mother), who both work as government school teachers. His younger brother- Srijan Dangwal, also works as a creative director in the Uttarakhand music industry. Gunjan attended the Convent School, New Tehri, and Modern School Dwarka Delhi for his school education.
He studied engineering at the Govind Ballabh Pant Engineering College Ghurdaudi in Pauri, Garhwal. During his school life, Gunjan learned music in the Prachin Kala Kendra and received the 5 years diploma in Sangeet Visharad after clearing the stage examinations. Gunjan worked predominantly in the hilly folk music industry (Garhwali, Kumauni, and Jaunsari music)and sometimes Bollywood or Punjabi music. His singing career began in childhood when he recorded an album titled- Nandu Mama in 2007 when he was just in 7th standard.
Along with a renowned Garhwali singer- Amit Sagar, he created a song- Ranjhana. Gunjan Dangwal visited Shillong and joined the band Last Train To Paradise as a music producer. Gunjan Dangwal was honored with the Best Music Producer Award (2022), in the Young Uttarakhand Cine Awards event for the song Bhama Meri. Gunjan Dangwal passed away in a road accident on 18 June 2022 in Panchkula, Haryana.Â
