Seemi Raheel is a senior Pakistani actress who has worked in Urdu television and film for many years. She was born on 26 February 1957 in Sialkot, Pakistan. She is a Harvard Medical graduate who is recognized for playing lively and emotional mother characters. In real life, she is the mother of actor Daniyal Raheen and supermodel- cum-actress, Mehreen Raheel. Seemi started in the television industry with a drama sitcom, "Family Front," in 1997. After that, in 2002, she appeared in Prime Entertainment's "Landa Bazar," where she had played the role of 'Surraya Batool.'

2. Sana Askari

Sana Askari is an actress and model from Pakistan. She was born on 23 April 1988. She got recognition for portraying the character of Laila in the Baraat series. She entered the industry in 2005. Sana Askari was raised in America and went to Beaconhouse School, and in 2010, she graduated from NAPA. Her first theatre play was Adhay Adhooray under NAPA's banner. In the show Dareecha, Sana got her first lead role opposite Imran Aslam. She has also made guest appearances in Nadia Khan Show and Jaago Pakistan Jaago. She was a contestant in Fear Factor Pakistan.

3. Mehreen Raheel

Mehreen Raheel is a Pakistan model cum actor. She is the daughter of Simmi Raheel and sister of Danyal Raheel. Mehreen is also the managing director of her home company R Visions. She was born on 8 February 1981 in Lahore Pakistan.


Mehreen appeared in number of TV shows and films. She start her career in 2007 with TV commercial ICI. After that she had been the model of many TV ads like Pantene, Lipton Tea, Head n Sholder, Sooper Biscuits, UFone and PTCL. 


Mehreen started her acting career with a minor role in Ajnabee Rastey. Then she appeared in Gardish, Kothi no 156, Kabhi Aye Na Judai, Adha Din or Puri Raat, Ashk and so on. For the film Kabhi Aye Na Judai she was nominated for Lux Best Actress Award. Her role in the film is of a bold girl who never fear of boys and wants to do whatever a boy can do.

 

In 2010, she appeared in Indo-Pak movie Virsa. She was opposite to Bollywood actor and Congress politician Raj Babbar’s son Arya Babbar. Thefilm received average review from the viewers. 

In 2011, she played a role in the daily drama show ‘Ashk’. The main characters of the serial was played by Fawad Ali Khan and Resham. The name of their characters were Rohail Hayad and Mehru. Mehreen played the role of Rohail sister. The show was produced by Abdullah Kahdwani and directed by Sarmad Sultan Khusat.


Mehreen is also a social activist. She traveled to many countries for her NGO. Her NGO works for the education of poor children. She visited India in 2011 to raise the funds for the empowerment of the children through education and hygiene.


In 2009, Mehreen married to famous Pakistani director Atif Azhar Malik.

5. Sohail Asghar

Sohail Asghar is one of the oldest actors in today’s Pakistani cinema. He was born in Lahore, Pakistan to a Muslim orthodox family. He completed his education from his hometown and joined Radio Pakistan. He served as a Radio Jockey from 1978 to 1988 and started to take part in local theatre shows. During this time he developed liking for acting. He left his job at the Radio station and worked at carpet business of his cousin. After one year he left the business and again joined Radio in Lahore. During his course as RJ he got noticed by Nusrat Thakur a Director at PTV Lahore. He was signed for play Raat though he didn’t had the lead role, his acting skills were noticed by industry. He then did the play Khwaish for which he was highly appreciated. His other notable dramas include Laag, Piyas, Chand Grehn, Kajal Ghar.


He made his movie debut with the movie ‘Murad’ in year 2003. He played role of ‘Saima’ who adopts a child ‘Murad’. The story revolved around her being rejected by the society and how he raises his son.  His role in this movie bagged him award for Outstanding Performance at The 1st Indus Drama Awards.


After his debut he starred in ‘Mahnoor’ in year 2004, which is a movie about a dancer from prostitute market. His last movie was ‘Victim of an Honor Killing’ which is a British movie about honor killings, as the name suggests.


Asghar’s old age is not stopping him from acting and he is still working on projects.

6. Imran Ashraf

Imran Ashraf is a writer and actor in the Pakistani television industry. Imran Ashraf was born in Peshawar on September 11, 1989. In Abbottabad, he received his early education. His father was a banker, and his ancestors came from Sialkot. Imran is from a non-artistic, basic household; no one in his family works in show business. He married Kiran Imran in 2019 and has a son named Roham Ashraf. He made his acting debut in the drama serial "Wafa Kaisi Kahan Ka Ishq" in 2011. He participated in various productions as a supporting character but failed to capture the audience's attention. In several dramas, he performed minor roles.

7. Faisal Rehman

Faisal Rehman or better known by his stage name Faisal is a prominent television and film actor, writer and director from Pakistan. He was born in Lahore but his ancestors were hailed from Afghanistan. Faisal is the son of Massud-ur-Rehman, a cinematographer and his brother Fasih Ur Rehman is a classical dancer. He is also the nephew of popular Bollywood actor Rehman. He completed his matriculation at St. Anthony High School in Lahore and entered the film industry at the age of 14. His first role was from the movie Nahi Abhi Nahi in 1980, which stars famous actress Shabnam. He continued to do films and studies at the same time. He attended Forman Christian College and took up Bachelors Degree in English Literature from the University of Punjab. 


He was successful in his debut film and went on to act in several films for almost ten years. In the early 90’s, he moved to Canada and dwells in the country for five years. Faisal lives in Montreal, from where he learned French language. He is also fluent in English, Dari (Persian), Punjabi, Urdu and Bengali languages. When he came back to Pakistan, he did two feature films and several telefilms and dramas. He was applauded by the audience in the drama serial Malaal, helmed by Mehreen Jabbar. He played as Danish, a shallow and possessive man who marries a girl that is half of his age. This serial received the nomination at the 10th Annual Lux Style Award under the category of Best Serial. 


Faisal is also the co-founder of an association for the actors called The Actors’ Collective (ACT). This was established in the year 2009 in Lahore. From 1980 to 1985, Faisal has done films like Aladin, Yeh Zamana Aur Hay, Nadani, Tina, Doorian, Biwi Ho To Aisee, Love Story, Mehek, Miss Colombo, Aaposh, Naraaz, Dhanak, Palkon Ki Chaon Main, Miss Singapore, Chakkar, Beqarar, Qasam Munnay Ki, Girebaan, Baat Ban Jay, Jeenay Nahi Doon Gee, Agar Tum Na Hotay, Aandhi, Bazar R Husn, Pyaar Aur Pesa, Ghaddaar and Guns and Roses. He also did several television serials starting from year 1997 to 2012. The last was with Kamal Haasan in Ranjish Hi Sahi on Geo TV. 


Faisal also directed World Ka Centre in 2002 and won the Best TV Film and Director, Kali Shalwaar in 2003, Javaid Shampoo in 2004, Home in 2005, Karwachoth, Nausar Baaz and a music video in 2006, and Blouse in 2007.
