Whether it is in Pakistan or India, the transitions of TV serial actors to the big screen have in many cases been beset with hiccups. In fact, in Pakistan a much lower number of actors have migrated smoothly into film careers than in India. Even those who have been successful have seldom managed to get away from typecast roles they performed in their first films. In case of Adnan Shah, (sometimes also referred to with the suffix ‘Tipu’) however, the story has been different. Although his initial appearances on TV were in comic roles, in serials like “Sab Set Hai”, he grew up ultimately to be a versatile actor excelling in diverse roles. Noman Ijaz is a Pakistani actor, who was born on 14th February 1965 in Lahore, Pakistan. His father was a manager at one movie theatre in Lahore and his father’s job influenced him a lot in getting into the acting career. His family led a simple and humble life and his father wanted to make sure that all of his three children received good education and they were sent to the best Christian Management schools in Lahore. Noman has two brothers and he is now married to Rabia and they have three children.

He began his acting career through PTV and he acted mainly in dramas. He was famous for his negative roles in the dramas and is considered as one of the most respected senior artists in the Pakistan industry. Noman struggled a lot to find his place in the industry initially and he was widely respected for his hard work and humble behaviour. He started his career with a negative role in the drama ‘Rihaee’ which made him famous both among the audience and the industry folks.

He has an Urdu movie ‘Ramchand Pakistani’ to his credit which was released in 2008. He portrayed a Pakistani Hindu, who crossed the border towards India accidently and his wife’s role was played by Nandita Das in the movie. He was honoured by Pakistan president with the ‘Pride of performance award’ in 2011. He currently hosts a TV show on PTV.

Wahaj Ali, born on 1 December 1988 in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, is an actor. Ali's career in the television industry started as an assistant director at Samaa TV. He performed in lead roles in many serials such as Hari Hari Churiyan, Dil Nawaaz, Mah-e- Tamaam, Dil-e-Bereham, Bharam, Ehd-e-Wafa, Mera Maan Rakhna, Bikhray Moti, Ghisi Piti, Mohabbat, Fitoor, Ishq Jalebi and Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahi. He received huge appreciation for his work as Hamza in Fitoor, as Basim in Ishq Jalebi, and as Jimmy in Dil Na Umeed to Nahi. Ali also acted in Mera Dard Na Janay Koi, Wafa, Gila, Ahsan, Bitiya Humaray Zamane Mein, Zoya Sawleha, Haiwan, Doodh Patti, Haqeeqat, Love Siyappa, Yorker.
