5. Avadhoot Gupte
Avadhoot Gupte is a Maharashtrian, who juggles more than one talent. This versatile person is a Singer, Musician, Director, Producer, Anchor and the list goes on. Avadhoot was born and brought up in Mumbai. He is predominantly a music composer. Gupte made his first music album called as Paus in Marathi, which was released by the label Sagarika Music. The album was received well, and it fetched Gupte, the Best Composer Award, at The Alpha Gaurav Puraskar, in the year 2002. Avadhoot participated in the Music competition Saregama, organized by TVS. He won the championship, and this fame scaled up his career to a great height. After this success, he started singing and making music for several Marathi and Hindi movies. As an independent singer, he made the album Meri Madhubala, in Marathi, in the year 2003.

He is a TV and film actor. He was born in Mumbai, on 22 April, 1971. His father is Tamil and mother is a Kannadiga. He got education from Mumbai. He started his career as an actor from a Marathi serial which was popular among kids. Then he worked in Marathi serials and films for 15 years. He worked in Hindi serials also. He obtained Telly Jury Award for best actor in comic role and ITA Award for best anchor in a talk show ‘Jay Hind’.
He has performed in Hindi serial ‘Hudd Kar Di’ and ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.’ ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ was produced by Hats Off Production. The story was about Gujarati family that belongs to upper class. He has essayed the role of elder son Sahil who was living in an apartment on hallway with his wife. In ‘Hudd Kar Di’ he has essayed the role of Raju. It is a light comedy in which a family is living in city and their parent came from a village to city, to live with them. Then there are many comical situations that enhance the flow of show.
He also has performed some movies also. He has worked with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘My Name Is Khan.’ The movie was about wrong vision of terrorism about Muslims. That’s why Shah Rukh Khan who has performed main role said “My name is Khan and I am not terrorist.” Sumeet has performed a supporting role in this movie. He is a well-known voice actor also and has used his voice for dubbing in several movies and commercial ads. He has worked in more 200 commercial ads of different brands.
Other than this he has learnt music also and sang few songs for some Marathi Movies. He got married to Chinmayee Surve who is a theater artist. Over all he is a versatile personality in showbiz.
