Alka Kubal is a prominent Indian actress, who works predominately in the Hindi and Marathi film industry. She rose to fame with the 1991 Marathi film Maherchi Sadi, directed by Vijay Kondke. Alka played the role of the lead actress along with actor Ramesh Bhatkar. She was born on 23rd September 1965 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Alka Kubal is married to cinematographer Sameer Athalye, and they have two daughters named Ishani and Kasturi.

Surekha Kudachi is a well-known Indian actress, model, and dancer. Surekha is known for her predominant contributions to the Marathi film industry and is a very prominent name in this industry. She is known for her brilliant live dance too. She has performed Marathi Lavani in many films, which is very popular amongst the Marathi audience. Surekha began with her career as a model. She has been involved in acting and plays since she was a child, and she has won several national and district level co-curricular championships.

Kishori Ambiye is a well known Marathi actress born on June 25, 1967, in Maharashtra, India. Her work is mainly seen Marathi film as well as Television Industry. Kishori made her debut in the Marathi film called ZAPATLELA along with other famous actors Laxmikant Berde and Mahesh Kothare. The movie was an instant hit, thus gaining her popularity.

Tanaji Ghadge or Tanaji Mahadeo Ghadge is an Indian director and he worked mainly in the Hindi and Marathi film and serial industry. He has also worked as an assistant director or a second unit director. He studied at Vivek Vardhini Vidyalaya in Pandharpur, Maharashtra. He has worked with producer Shree Ganesh Marketing and Films. As an assistant director and second unit director, Tanaji has worked on multiple films which include Aashik Aawara directed by Umesh Mehra, starring the actors Saif Ali Khan, Mamta Kulkarni, and Mohnish Behl, released in the year 1993; Yaar Gaddar by Umesh Mehra, starring the actors Saif Ali Khan, Sweta and Somy Ali, released in the year 1994; Sabse Bada Khiladi by Umesh Mehra, starring the actors Akshay Kumar, Mamta Kulkarni, and Mohnish Behl, released in the year 1995; and Khiladiyon ka Khiladi by Umesh Mehra, starring the actors Akshay Kumar, Rekha, and Raveena Tandon, released in the year 1996.

Varad Chavan is an Indian actor and he works predominantly in the Marathi film and serial industry. He is the son of the late famous actor and stage artist Vijay Chavan and his wife Majerna Cuaj. Varad pursued a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at a Mumbai College and wrote the entrance exams for the NDA and Navy forces. Chavan has acted in the television serials Ajoonhi Chaand Raat Aahe (2012), Mangalsutra (2011), Devyani (2012), Ek Taas Bhutacha (2021), Asmita (2014), Runji (2014), Madhu Ithe Chara Tithe (2011), and Aai Mayecha Kawach (2021). He debuted in the Marathi film industry with his role in the movie Chandrakala which was released on 17th December 2010. Directed by Nitin Kamble, the movie stars the actors Varad Chavan, Megha Ghatge, and Rajesh Kamble.

Sameer Athalye is a popular cinematographer, born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He has worked in many Marathi movies since the 1990s, and married to the famous actress, Alka Kubal.

Sanjay Shejwal is an Indian film and television actor who predominantly works in Marathi and Hindi languages. Sanjay Shejwal was born to Shivram Shejwal and Vasanti Shejwal on 19th September in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He did his schooling in Sheth Gopalji Hemraj High School in Borivali, Mumbai, and then graduated in Commerce from Prahladrai Dalmia Lions College in Mumbai. Sanjay exhibited outstanding performance in studies as well as extra-curricular activities. He shined in several activities, and some of them are theatre dramas, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Martial arts, etc. For the love of acting, Sanjay Shejwal completed his Masters in Theatre Arts from the Academy of Theatre Arts at the University of Mumbai and has done several plays in Marathi, Hindi, and English.

Sanjay Khapre has the original name Sanjay Narendra Khapre. He was born on 31st May 1972. He is born and brought up in Mumbai. He is 44 years old presently. He is married and the name of her wife is Sayyami Sanjay Khapre. He has completed his schooling from Dr. Shirodkar High School which is located in Mumbai. He has completed his graduation from M.D college in B.com.

Suhas Palshikar is a Hindi and Marathi film and television actor from India. A popular actor in the Marathi film industry, Suhas Palshikar made his debut with a small role in Gandhi (1982). Richard Attenborough's film and that film becomes an Oscar-winning film Gandhi in 1982. He had received the IIFA Award nomination for Best Performance in a Negative Role in the movie Chandni Bar in 2002.

Triyug Mantri is an Indian actor who has predominantly worked in the Marathi film industry. He has done voice-overs and other forms of screen performances in many television shows and movies. Triyug found his passion in the field of acting, and his embodiment of the characters he plays brings them to life with sheer intensity and vigor.  He made his debut in 2010 playing the part of Ajay in Sachin Karande’s thriller, ‘Payback.’ He later played several supporting roles in the movies ‘Nagarsevak-Ek Nayak (2017)’ and ‘Ajinkya (2020).’ Triyug is well known for his work in regional television shows. He brought out the character of Pandit Chakrapani Mishra in ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap’ and portrayed the god of death, Kaal Dev, in ‘Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman.’ He has also worked in the serial, ‘Kulfikumar Bajewale’ for Star Plus. Triyug also hosts various events outside the field of entertainment. He has arranged large scale food festivals in the city of Mumbai. He continues to act in the film industry, persistently finding new opportunities to better his talent.

There have been a few cases in the entertainment world where promising careers have been cut short by the cruel hands of death. So was the case of the predominantly Marathi actor Anand Abhyankar, when he met with a fatal car accident while returning to Mumbai, along with fellow actor Akshay Pendse. Earlier in life, following the Marathi tradition, he had started off with a promising theatre career, while he was studying in Pune, where he had shifted from his home town Nagpur.

As he joined more and more theatre groups, his name spread far and wide in the Marathi theatre world, his first commercial play being a comedy. Incidentally one of his co stars in this play happened to be Mohan Joshi who also became famous in Hindi films and TV serials. Anand’s very first play went on to run for over 1000 shows, establishing him firmly on the Marathi stage. 

Moving forward in his stage career, Abhyankar got the opportunity to feature in one more record breaking Marathi play, “Aai Retire Hotey”. This play narrowly missed the 1000 shows mark. With Anand’s name spreading across the state, it did not take much time for him to get roles in Marathi films as well. 

However, it was Mahesh Manjrekar who brought him into the world of Hindi films, through two of his own directorial ventures, “Vaastav” (1999) and “Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain” (2000), at the time Abhyankar had become a well known name in Marathi cinema, known for his acting abilities. Anand crossed over to Marathi TV in a big way only much later in 2009 after a solitary performance in Doordarshan many years earlier. The TV performance that hogged the limelight was his role in “Asambhav” (2009), portraying the role of an 85 year old Parkinson’s disease afflicted person with his trembling mannerisms looking almost lifelike.

Although from his very first stage appearance Anand had a penchant for comic themes, he went on to prove through his variety of roles spread across theatre, movies and serials that he was a multi talented actor, and perhaps his best roles that would have come after further maturity was forever lost for his fans, due to his untimely an unfortunate death.

Anant Jog was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra and he is an Indian movie and television actor. He has acted very well, be it a small screen or a big screen and has never done any compromise with respect to his acting skills. He has so far acted in a couple of film industries; they are Hindi and Marathi movies. He had acted in Dish TV, and honour which was ensued in the year 2004. The people from his next generation have  also actively propagated his profession.

Nagesh Bhonsle or Nagesh Bhosale is an Indian television, film and also a theatre actor. He is also a respectable producer and director. He was the co-producer and director of the Marathi film, Goshta Choti Dongraevadhi in 2009, where he also appeared in the main lead role as Nandu. He also directed the films Gallit Gondhal, Dillit Mujra in 2009 and another Marathi film, Adgul Madgul in 2011.

Nagesh was born in year 1960 at Nagpur, India. He initiated his career in acting into theatre.  While in college, he happens to watch the play, Aata Manushya Jagne in a competition which was performed by actor Arun Nalawade. He was impressed by his performance and since then, he gets more interested in theatre. Later, he performed in the play, Kondmara where he played the main lead role. The play won many accolades and he won the Best Actor award. After this, he performed in two more plays from which he also won the same award. Afterwards, he decided to move to Mumbai in the early 90’s. He met Mangesh Kulkarn, a Marathi actor, writer and poet and told him that the casting for Nagmandala. He went to the audition and Bhaskar Chandawarkar selected him. He was also the narrator in the play. Chandawarkar is also in charge in the music of the play and he was given a role in the chorus. He feels so lucky since Vijaya Bai is a big production house and he got the chance to be part of it, and worked with the people with huge experiences in the Marathi stage. He found himself working in a big workshop for acting at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA). After the Nagmandala, he works consistently in the Marathi commercial theatre.

Sometime in year 1996 or 1997, Nagesh has stopped on performing in the Marathi commercial theatre. He was offered to do the role of Kishan Murari on Zee TV’s Hasratein. Later, he started to appear in many tele-serials like the C.I.D., Bhavar and more. His very first appearance in serial is from Doordarshan channel entitled, Upanyas together with Shekhar Kapoor. That time, Doordarshan is the only channel available and he was new to the television world.

He was debuted as a film actor through the Marathi film, Bangarwadi where he essayed the role of Daddu Baltya under the direction of Amol Palekar. The film became one of the best films in year 1997. Later, he did another film by Amol Palekar entitled, Daayra. In 1999, he was seen in a cameo role in the comedy film, Bombay Boys. And then, Anurag Kasyap introduced him to E. Nivas, the director of the Hindi crime film, Shool from which he appeared as Sudhir Vinod and the Bollywood thriller film, Bardaasht. Nagesh also did Hindi films like D, Sarkar, Kyon Ki, Hostel, Billu, Shiva, Dum and Lal Salam. He also did some Marathi films like Duniyadari, Chingi, Vishwavinayak and more.

Kishore Kadam introduced Ramu Ramanathan to Nagesh. They did a play together and they decided to do it in two languages, Hindi and English. Kishore did the English version and he did the Hindi version. They did a play entitled, Angst Angst Coontah Coontah Bhoom Bhaam Dhandhal Dhamaal Kaput. Nagesh received the Best Actor Award from the Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards (META) committee for Ramu’s Cotton 56, Polyester 84 and he considered it as a milestone in his career.

Besides acting, producing and directing, he is also a good singer. But he says, he was not a trained singer but he is just naturally inclined to music.
