Leeladevi Prasad is a well-known politician from Karnataka. At the young age of 22, she was a housewife and turned into a politician. Leeladevi became the first woman corporator of Mahanagar Palika Bengaluru. She won three Council Elections and MLA elections and became the Minister of Women and Child Development of Karnataka State. She worked for women's empowerment. She wanted women in the position of  Mayor and Dy Mayor administrative power. She was also the chairman of the Education Committee and Health Committee. In 2019, she was appointed the President of party state women's wing of the Janta Dal(Secular) Party at the age of 82.

Shilpa Mudbi Kothakota is a folk performer and documentary filmmaker who has been playing Jogathis music around Karnataka. She is a first-generation urbanite and has a deep sense of connection to her ancestors. She has spent many years working in the Karnataka hinterlands as a videographer, capturing rural lifestyles and cultural politics. She is an academy student at Janapada. Her project, the Urban Folk project, was started in 2017 with the Jogathis and the o research musical genres that are a part of their culture.

Naagachandrika Bhat, an ‘A’ grade artist at Akashavani with more than 15 years of expertise, has been on shows on AIR and Doordarshan. Over 50 films featured her singing. She received several honors including, the Kempegowda Award from the BBMP for overall musical excellence, the Upasanga Singer Award for 2014's Light Music, the Lions Appreciation Award for her 2013 musical contribution, and the Geeta Swara Kogile title from Puttaraja Gawai Tulabhara Samiti, to name a few. Some of her popular songs include ‘Muddu Kanda’, ‘Yogi Manega Banda’, ‘Agasada Modagallai’, ‘Bhakthanalla’, ‘Saraswati Sannavu’, and many others.

Manoranjan Prabhakar also known as Prabhakar Naidu is a music composer and singer belonging to the Kannada music industry. He was born in 1952, in Bangalore, (then Mysore state), India. He was born to a family with a musical background which persuaded him to start training in music. He was tutored by M. S. Vishwanathan, Lt. David, and Lt. Stephen Chacha. He started performing as the lead guitarist with the band Manoranjan and Party. Eventually, he started recording albums and composing music. He has to his credit 800+ albums in association with the leading music labels including Tips Industries, Aarti Live Cassettes, Jhankar Music, Ashwini Audio, Rainbow audio, T-Series, Revathi Devi Audio, Saregama, Sri Balaji Audio, and Magnum Audio among others.

Mrunthunjay C Doddwad, was born on January 12, 1975. He was born to parents Shri Chandrashekhar Doddawad and Smt Susheela Chandrashekar Doddawad in Hubli City Karnataka. Mrunthunjay was keen on music from childhood and became a disciple of the Late Sri N Balasubramanyam at an early age. The singer, well known for his direction and composition of light music, graduated from the Adarsha Film Institute, Bangalore. Mrunthunjay started his musical journey by teaching the keyboard to students in various organizations. He later joined the James Institute of Modern Music under his guru, Late Mr. James.
