She is a first-generation urbanite and has a deep sense of connection to her ancestors. She has spent many years working in the Karnataka hinterlands as a videographer, capturing rural lifestyles and cultural politics. She is an academy student at Janapada. Her project, the Urban Folk project, was started in 2017 with the Jogathis and the o research musical genres that are a part of their culture.
Her journey as an artist was primarily about recognizing and bridging the gaps in the tradition or even just understanding why there is a gap. She is currently focusing on Yellammaanata, a kind of art that is practiced by members of the Devadasi and Jogathi...

Naagachandrika Bhat, an ‘A’ grade artist at Akashavani with more than 15 years of expertise, has been on shows on AIR and Doordarshan. Over 50 films featured her singing. She received several honors including, the Kempegowda Award from the BBMP for overall musical excellence, the Upasanga Singer Award for 2014's Light Music, the Lions Appreciation Award for her 2013 musical contribution, and the Geeta Swara Kogile title from Puttaraja Gawai Tulabhara Samiti, to name a few. Some of her popular songs include ‘Muddu Kanda’, ‘Yogi Manega Banda’, ‘Agasada Modagallai’, ‘Bhakthanalla’, ‘Saraswati Sannavu’, and many others.

He was born to a family with a musical background which persuaded him to start training in music. He was tutored by M. S. Vishwanathan, Lt. David, and Lt. Stephen Chacha. He started performing as the lead guitarist with the band Manoranjan and Party. Eventually, he started recording albums and composing music. He has to his credit 800+ albums in association with the leading music labels including Tips Industries, Aarti Live Cassettes, Jhankar Music, Ashwini Audio, Rainbow audio, T-Series, Revathi Devi Audio, Saregama, Sri Balaji Audio, and Magnum Audio among others.
