Plot

Shiva was betrayed by his friends Michael and JK, and his lover, Tara. He goes to Abhimanyu, a gambler, to take revenge against his betrayers.

Analysis

The series is inspired by Ezel, a Turkish drama created by AY Yapim. Gunaah has a complex narrative of friendship, love, and cheating. The characters are designed well and the storyline is gripping. Tara should have been designed with more depth.

Some elements, like plastic surgery transformation, seems to be a bit old. The performances are the biggest pluses of the series, and the casting team deserves appreciation for the right pick. The director handled dual timelines well and made the narration interesting.

Though it has an interesting script, screenplay, and execution, it may not attract the audiences who love to watch an interesting story with new elements, not a repacked old technique.
