Harpal Singh Sokhi is an Indian celebrity chef who is also one of India’s top 10 YouTubers. He has worked with a lot of restaurant chains and, later on, launched his own- The Funjabi Tadka. Harpal hails from a middle-class Punjabi family from West Bengal where his father was with the Indian Railways. He has two sisters and one brother. He once mentioned in an interview that his mother’s cooking inspired him, and that is why he took it up as a career. His brother has also cooked food at a langar. He wanted to pursue engineering, but it seemed that he was not that excellent at academics.
