Anita Kanwar is an Indian film and television actress who earned her popularity after she successfully portrayed the role of Lajoji, the wife of Master Haveliram (played by Alok Nath) in the television series, Buniyaad which was aired on DD National in year 1986.

Anita usually acted in school and she was in college when she saw an adaptation of Ibrahim Alkazi’s Look Back in Anger. It was then when she realized what she wanted to be, an actress. She attended and graduated from the National School of Drama and trained under the popular, Mr. Ibrahim Alkazi himself in 1978. She never thought of doing any television shows or act in the big screen since all she wanted to do was to act in theater.
