1. Dia Sokol Savage
Dia Sokol Savage is a producer, director, and writer for cinema and television in the United States. Sokol Savage grew up in Denver, Colorado, after being born in West Virginia. She graduated from Smith College, Massachusetts, and now lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband, film editor Garret Savage.
Dia came to Boston after college, and began working for documentary filmmaker Errol Morris on many projects, two of which were "Mr. Death (1999)," "The Fog of War (2003)," and his American television series "First Person (2000)." She met Justin Rice there, who introduced her to Andrew Bujalski on the day he returned to Boston from Los Angeles, for whom she had produced two films later.
Dia travelled to the Arkansas bayou in 2006 to create Alex Karpovsky's film "Woodpecker."...
