Shobha Devi is an Indian-origin producer. In 2020, she produced a movie called Kaanchii Life in a Slough. Dedipya Joshii directed the film, and Kailash Detha, Vijayadan Detha, and Dedipya Joshii wrote the storyline for the film. Shobha Devi and Dedipya Joshii produced the movie. And it starred Sanjay Mishra, Shikha Malhotra, Nareshpal Singh Chauhan, Lalit Parimoo, Monika Choudhary, and Shobha Devi. Jogendra Panda managed the cinematography department, and Kisalroy Roy, Shivang Upadhyay, and Nishant Kamal Vyas managed the music department.

2. Aparna Sen

A vetern filmmaker and actress, Aparna Sen has been in the industry for over half a century. Born on 25th October 1945 in Calcutta, she completed her Bachelor’s in Arts from Kolkata’s Presidency College. She showed an interest for films even before graduating as she appeared in Teen Kanay, a Satyajit Ray film, at just the age of sixteen. 

     

As an actress Sen has appeared in over 62 films throughout her career, the last of which was in 2014’s Chotushkone. She has worked heavily in both Indian and Bengali films and received various prizes throughout her career including the Moscow Film Festival’s Best Actress award for her role in Mahaprithibi. 


She debuted as a director in 1981 with 36 Chowringhee Lane winning the Indian National Film Awards, Best Director. The film also won an award at the Manila International Film Festival. Having directed over 11 years throughout her career many of her films were well received including the hit Yugant. The movie won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Bengali.

Shreya Ghoshal, one of the most famous singers in Bollywood today, was born on March 12th, 1984, in Berhampore, West Bengal. Her father Biswajit Ghoshal is an electrical engineer and mother Sharmistha Ghoshal is a postgraduate in literature. She started singing since the age of 4 when her mother taught her. She started her formal training in Hindustani classical Gharana of music when she was only six years old. She was trained for 18 months after which she continued her training in Mumbai with Late Mukta Bhideji. She completed her graduation in Arts with majors in English. Her first on-stage performance was at their club’s annual function. Her first studio album was in Bengali in 19998 and was named Bendhechhi Beena, and her first onscreen performance was in Awaz Nayi Andaaz Wohi. In 1995, she became the winner of All India Light Vocal Music Competition. Her fame and career began with her winning a television singing reality show named Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

5. Reshmi Ghosh

Reshmi Ghosh was born in the city of joy, Kolkata to a typical Bengali family where she spent her entire childhood and her formative years before relocating to Mumbai. Reshmi did her schooling from the esteemed Carmel Convent in Kolkata before completing her Bachelors from the revered Jogmaya Devi College in South Kolkata with first class.


This Bengali beauty was not only good in studies but she also had a keen interest in modelling. Her curiosity is what earned her accolades in the modelling industry finally culminating in her winning the prestigious crown of MISS INDIA EARTH in the year 2002. This turned out to be the stepping stone in her career. After this there was no turning back for her as she was asked to model for the best brands and top notch designers in response to which she took up the jobs at hand gracefully.

It is a television series that has racked up more than 1800 episodes and was one of the most successful series ever on Indian television. She did her part in the show which in return earned her fame and success. In addition to that, more lucrative offers came flowing in and she kept on performing. Whether it was Nupur Basu in Tere Liye or Urmila in Piya Ghar Pyaara Lage she never stopped and is still working hard as if it were her first day at work.


As of now she is working as Mangala in the hit series Buddha. Reshmi got married to her Shobha Somnath Ki co-star Siddharth Vasudeva on 1st February 2013 and is now happily enjoying her life, juggling it through work and marriage.

Sayantani Ghosh is a popular TV/film actress, dancer, and singer, and is famous for her roles in Naaginn, Adaalat, and Mahabharat. Sagnik Ghosh is one of the most renowned personalities who has worked with certain big brands and groups in private practice and television. He began his career as a product manager for the Zee Interactive Learning Systems Limited of Essel Group. After one year, Sagnik Ghosh joined Franklin Templeton Investments. Rituparno Ghosh(1963-2013) was a profound actor, director, writer, and lyricist in the Bengali FIlm Industry. He was born in Kolkata to a Bengali Hindu family on 31 August 1963. Sunil Ghosh, father of Rituparno Ghosh was a painter and a documentary film maker. He attended South Point School in and earned an Economics degree from Jadhavpur University, Kolkata. Born on 15th December 1970, Babul Supriyo is a talented singer. He is also an actor and politician. At present, he holds the post of Minister of State for Urban Development under the regulation of Government of India. He is also Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation. As a cinema artist, he has worked in over 70 films. Other than Hindi, he has given his voice for Oriya and Bengali films. 
The year 2014 saw him entering politics; he got himself associated with the Narendra Modi’s government. He was the youngest minister at that time.
Supriyo was initially working in a bank, but quite this coveted job owing to his passion for singing. He has a beautiful voice which to an extent resembles Kumar Sanu, a reputed Bollywood singer. But Supriyo feels that everybody faces an identity crisis.  He has worked in Bengali flicks as a lead hero. 
Supriyo is a B. Com Honors graduate.Supriyo had his early days in Uttarpara, Hooghly. He imbibed music skills from his grandfather Banikantha N C Baral who was a composer and vocalist in Bengali. Supriyo’s singing prowess was noticed, and he went on to gain recognition at inter-school and inter-college level. He also performed on a consistent basis in Doordarshan and All India Radio. Supriyo journeyed to Mumbai in 1992 to establish a profession in Bollywood. Supriyo considered this equivalent to climbing a mountain. He took the test of time and eventually his works were observed. Chanda Chamke, Pari Hai Ek Pari and Dil Ne Dil Ko Pukara are some of the hits of this talented singer. 
Chander Bari, Ogo Bodhu Shundori, and Hit List are some of the Bengali flicks in which he worked. Supriyo drew inspiration from ace singer Kishore Kumar. Having starting his profession with the name Supriyo, he later changed it to Supriyo. The songs of the 1997 flick Saat Rang Ke Sapne made Supriyo very famous. This flick was directed by Priyadarshan. The number O Piya O Piya from Agni Sakshi was also a success, but it was wrongly thought to be Kumar Sanu’s voice. The album Tere Liye was a successful endeavor of Supriyo. 
Kalyanji was instrumental in providing Supriyo with several live shows in India as well as overseas. Since the mid-90s, Supriyo started associating himself with Bollywood and churned out several hits. 
ON his personal front, Supriyo is separated from his wife, Rhea. They are blessed with a daughter. Supriyo never minds speaking what he feels in real life.
