Brahmanandam was born on 1st February 1956. He was the seventh son to Kanneganti Nagalingachari and Kannaganti Lakshmi Narsamma. He completed his high schooling from a high school at Sattenapalle. He later pursued his intermediate and graduation from D.N.R College, Bhimavaram. He completed his post graduation in Telugu literature from Andhra University.
