Plot

The story follows two simple-minded men living in the same village who want nothing more but to change their fates. One man is a wage earner trying hard to buy a bike to change his life from a laborer to a contractor. The other works in a hospital as a compounder and wishes to strive in politics for years. Somehow he finds an illegal scamming racket operated under the name of government compensation and requests the wage earner to join him in this racket with the promise of a bike. They face a few hilarious events during their time together and expose some unseen issues in their society.

Star Performance

Om Puri, as always, performed brilliantly in this movie. Kulbhushan Kharbanda played a funny but problematic character with other great known comical actors. They all had remarkable body language and humorous characters that elevated the film.

Analysis

The movie sets in rural India, where a new government compensation scheme started for the family of sexual assault victims. Due to which a compounder named Omprakash and a poor wage worker, Rambhaj plan to intentionally have his fake wife raped to claim the compensated money and fulfill their dreams. But the arrangement keeps changing, and things get out of hand. The movie is a parody that showcases the unsafe rural society. It has ridiculous twists with chaotic characters to showcase an unbelievable story.

Lacks to be relevance after a while
The plot is all over the place due to its problematic portrayal of a sensitive topic
A bit cringe and vulgar to watch
It mocks delicate subjects with ridiculous plotlines and absurd dialogues

Verdict

It might not be for everyone due to its questionable plot choices. It is a pass time watch that will keep the audience entertained for a while. To watch this movie audience need to shut their brain and feelings off.
