The American movie Vampire Academy Click to look into! >> Read More... hit the screens in 2014. The movie is a satire. The movie is intertwined with fantasy and horror. The movie draws inspiration from a novel by Richelle Mead. The novel was released in 2007. Mark Waters directed the movie and Daniel Waters designed the screenplay. The movie has actors as Zoey Deutch Zoey Deutch is an American Film Actress and Produc >> Read More... , Danila Kozlovsky Danila Kozlovsky was born and brought up in Moscow >> Read More... , and Lucy Fry. Zoey Deutch has done the role of teenager Rose Hathaway. Luc Fry has done the role of Lissa Dragomir. Danila Kozlovsky has done the role of a handsome mentor.

Plot: Adolescent girl Rose Hathaway is a human-vampire crossbreed, and Lissa Dragomir is her best friend. Lissa is a Moroi princess. Both of them do their schooling at St. Vladimir’s Academy. The place happens to be a secret refuge for people like them. A handsome mentor trains Rose in such a way that she could be the guardian for Lissa. For Lissa, she may have to forgo many a thing. Rose has to go one step ahead and protect Lissa from foes inside and outside the campus.

The movie borrows the story from many series as the Twilight and Harry Potter. The material in the plot may appear silly, but there is a message in the movie that friendship remains forever. Friendship may eat into you, and it may be insidious. It may even explode like a bomb. But the remnants of an exploded friendship may combine and make friendship a great magic.

The movie’s director seems to be a voracious reader. He seems to have grasped the concept of the story well. The movie’s plot sticks to the story that was originally written. There are some added details to make the movie palatable to cinema audiences. But, the characters of Lissa and Christian seem to be ill-portrayed. The movie goes ahead with a speedy space. There is too much information thrust into the movie. The movie would be of better quality if the personalities of Christian and Lissa had been portrayed well, and if it had slowed down a bit.

Verdict: The movie satiates the curiosity of those who watch the movie after having read the book.
