Plot

Socially awkward teenager Tom discovers that his reclusive neighbor is a fallen rock God who faked his death eight years ago and asks to be taught the guitar in exchange for his silence.

The Beat Beneath My Feet is an exciting movie entertaining enough for a rewatch. It’s a feel-good movie with excellent cast performances and an incredible soundtrack. A coming-of-age story, it deals with various growing emotions and feelings throughout the movie. It has a generally optimistic and inspirational tone, and is very relatable, especially for teenagers, or anyone who’s ever had trouble being out there or fitting in with everybody else. The character dynamics are lovely and heart-felt, and the ending provides a satisfactory conclusion to the entire movie. There’s a reason why it fared exceptionally well at several film festivals.
