Analysis

“Blue Iguana” follows the humorous journey of two small-time criminals attempting to make it big, but are in over their heads. The film has a good ratio of humor, action and thrill.

What’s There?

  • The film has a plethora of action and humor
  • Stellar star cast with good performances
  • A romance arc is also present in the film

What’s Not There?

  • The action scenes seem unrealistic as the film introduces Eddie and Paul as petty criminals
  • Plotline is not engaging and entertaining enough, and the first 20-25 minutes are boring and uneventful

Verdict

“Blue Iguana” would be a good watch for comedy, action and thriller genre enthusiasts. The film gets humor from the protagonists who do not realize that they are in over their heads, engaging in criminal activities beyond their abilities. The action scenes consist of gun-fights and slow-motion frames. The thrill lies in ascertaining just what it is that the antagonist is after.
