Plot

Three perspectives are used to tell the story of the movie: "present-day" interviews with the principal writers of I Love Lucy; Jess Oppenheimer, Madelyn Pugh, and Bob Carroll Jr.; flashbacks during the relationship of Lucille Ball Lucille Ball took birth on the 6th of August, 1911 >> Read More... and Desi Arnaz; and preparations for filming an episode of the show in 1953. Ball, who has a contract with RKO Pictures in 1939, has earned the title "Queen of the B-Movies." She falls in love with Cuban singer Arnaz, who was her co-star in the flopped comedy Too Many Girls. She confides in her ambition of simply finding a home with someone, and he affirms her talent as a physical comic. They are married and purchase a home in Hollywood, but they find it difficult to spend time together because Arnaz is too busy leading his Desi Arnaz Orchestra, and Ball is working unsuccessfully as a film actress. The actors are very talented and did an excellent job playing the characters in the film. The director and production companies have huge fame. The supporting actors played the roles well. Everyone together supported each other and gave a great outcome. The 94th Academy Awards announced three nominations for the movie: Best Actor for Bardem, Best Actress for Kidman, and Best Supporting Actor for Simmons. At the 79th Golden Globe Awards, it was nominated for three awards, including Best Actor for Bardem in a Motion Picture Drama and Best Screenplay for Aaron Sorkin. Nicole Kidman won Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama.    

Analysis

 Before going live globally on Prime Video on December 21, 2021, it had a limited theatrical release by Amazon Studios in the United States on December 10, 2021. Critics gave the movie more favorable reviews and highlighted Kidman and Bardem's and the cast's collective performances.
