. Otto and Anna have shown full support during wartime to survive. The story focuses on how the death of son brings the changes in Otto’s and Anna’s life. Their patience is lost when they get to know that Hitler orders to deport the Jews to death camps. The old woman living with the couples in their building commit suicide. All the neighbors tried to help her but could not stop her from giving up her life. This incident shocks everyone.
Exhorted by this, Otto and Anno request people to stand up against Hitler and raise their voices against the torture the people are facing. They come up with cards like “Mothers, Hitler Will Kill Your Son Too”. Otto wanted to manage all this but Anna convinces him to let her support in this battle. This revenge and anger of losing their son build up the broken relationship between them and the commitment bring the love back to their life. Otto gets arrested because the cards mistakenly fall at work. Escherich, who have handicapped them, collects all the postcards of hundreds of people and shoots himself. The cards are seen falling and swaying on the streets of Berlin.
Star Performance
The stars have put up a good performance but since the movie is a real story, the performances by the actors can be unreal too at some point.
Analysis
Vincent Perez (III) has done an excellent job with the storyline because it's hard to present a true story in such an enthralling manner.
What’s there?
1. Unity and Love between the couples willingly supporting each other in every up and down.
2. Visualisation effects are good in the movie.
What’s not there?
1. Hitler’s character could have performed by a stronger performer.
Verdict
The movie is all about faith, love, unity, and trust. So, one must watch it.
