Galla Jayadev

Galla Jayadev is an Industrialist and one of the wealthiest politicians in India. A very famous personality, he is a member of 16th Lok Sabha of India and represents people from Guntur. He is one of the directors of Amara Raja Group. He was born on June 2, 1961, and is 56 years old. Jayadev was born in Diguvamagham, Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. His father is an industrialist who was the founder of Amara Raja Group and mother Mrs. Aruna Kumari Galla is a former MLA from Chandragiri constituency and was a minister in Andhra Pradesh State Government for several years.

Aruna Kumari Galla is the daughter of a former member of parliament and a social activist Paturi Rajagopala Naidu. He married Padmavathi Ghattamaneni on 26 June 1991. She is the daughter of the famous Telugu film actor Krishna. Jayadev moved to the USA, where he lived for around 22 years along with his family. He studied politics and economics at the universities of Illinois at Urbana. He had worked as an international sales executive at GNB Battery Technology in the USA after his graduation.

In 1992, he and his father tied up with Johnson Controls (US based giant) and started Amara Raja Batteries Limited. Amara Raja Batteries Limited is one of the leading manufacturers of Advance Lead Acid batteries in India. He had spoken on many different issues of public interest in the parliament. His description and analysis of Tolerance in India shocked the general public. He along with his family established many charitable trusts- Krishna Devaraya Educational & Cultural Association. These trusts provide free education and educational scholarships to poor students for higher studies.

Other than these, they also established the Rajanna Trust and Mangal Trust. Rhajanna and Mangal trust mainly works for rural areas.They provide accessible water supply and more. Mangal trust takes the service of common people to fulfill their goals and needs.
