Sahana Hedge

A song always comforts one's soul, and when it comes from a child's voice, the same becomes more comforting. Sahana Hedge is one such child who owes everyone's heart with her soothing voice. Sahana began to sing at just the age of five. She has learned a variety of music from different teachers, like devotional songs from Mr. Sameer Badasheshi, light music from Mrs. Ratnamala Purandar, a teacher at Sumadura Sangeetha School in Sanjay nagar, etc.

Sahana wanted to take her passion for singing to the heights of success, so she participated in various inter-school and state-level competitions and received multiple prizes. Thesky is Sahana's limit. She took part in reality shows like Ede Tumbi Haaduvenu, where she reached the semi-finals, and then in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champ, telecast on ZTV, where she became runner-up. Finally, people recognized Sahana's caliber and declared her the winner of the Champion of Champions viewer's choice. Sahana has sung for five significant movies and was also featured in the Gunagaana musical programme on ZTV.

She was a part of a programme in Tirupati and sung before Lord Venkateshwara. People also offered her to sing for serials, cassettes, and CDs. Sahana is an inspiration to the people of all generations, and to widen the reach of her life story, which has just begun, she was interviewed by All India Radio Dharwad. She didn't miss any opportunity that crossed her way.
