Suma Shastry is an Indian film Singer and Music Director. She has worked predominantly in the Kannada film industry. Suma is married to the famous Karnataka State Film Award winner L. N. Shastri who was also credited as Chaitanya. L. N. Shastri died on 30 August 2017, after a brief battle with intestinal cancer. Suma has worked in more than fifty popular movies.
She is known for her works in Rajanikantha (Directed by Pradip Raj and released on 1st March 2013), Varadhanayaka (a 2013 movie Directed by Ayyappa P), Ravi’s Jungle Jackie (2013), Ravi Ram’s Rajasimha (2018), Hoo (directed by Ravichandran and released on 4th June 2010) and Flop (2015). She worked as the Music Director in Sed (2018) and Arjun Weds Amrutha (2017 comedy Kannada movie).
Suma’s few other movies are Bellary Naga (2009), Mooru Guttu Ondu Sullu Ondu Nija (2009), Ayya (2005), Aham Premasmi (2005), Melody(2005) and Love Training (1993). She was invited to Annual Day (2017-18) of Swaramedha International Music Academy as a guest.
