K Sooraj Shetty is an Indian writer and director. His work is predominant in the Tulu and Kannada film industries. His directorial and writing debut was in the Tulu blockbuster film Ekka Saka Inchane Kasta Suka. He has delivered other blockbuster hits at the box-office like Pilibail. Sooraj was born in Manjeswaram, Kerala on 18 th July 1988, to a Kannada speaking family. Before going out to make his own film, he has worked for over six years under cameraman FC Venu in an attempt to learn all the technical aspects of filmmaking. Then he made his debut in 2015 with the film Ekka Saka. The film went on to become a hit. He has made other movies that have been hits or even garnered a mixed response from the audience.
