Seema Pahwa

The noted actress is a winner of the Best Supporting Actress, Star Screen Award and a nominee for the Filmfare award twice. Born in Delhi in the year 1962, Seema was a smart girl right from the childhood. Her mother Saroj Bhargava was an All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan Artist. Interested in acting and theatre, Seema gave her first audition at the age of five.

She auditioned for the role of a child for the television show Samjhouta in front of Author and Musician PL Deshpande; she got selected. Dramatics became a part of her life since then. After her early break, she acted in over 50 TV programmes and 150 radio shows.

The shows telecasted live then had little room for error, so accuracy had to be a key factor, and Seema nailed it to perfection. After this, Seema started working with Sambhav, a theatre group in Delhi. She stayed at Sambhav for a while to hone her acting skills. In 1994, she moved to Mumbai for more opportunities in films and television. She made her Bollywood debut in Sardari Begum (1996). Later, she also appeared in films Godmother, and Zubeidaa. She also became a part of Bollywood movies like Ferrari Ki Sawari, and Tere Bin Laden. Seema became a mother of a son Mayank, and a daughter Manukriti.
